That’s crazy. This year we are getting a whole summers worth of rain in a couple days.

That's okay. Last week the news media told us that we were all going to die of thirst because of the drought. This week we're all going to drown.

Not complaining about the rain, we needed it badly! And I hate the beaches around here, tons of seaweed, green water, :puke:.

Couldn't tell you I was up at moosehead coming down from north Maine woods. Left Wednesday night just got back last night. No flooding on my way home :notsure:

Grass is getting green again though!

Gotta go so far west that you're basically in CT, or block island.

Yeah we have a ton of beaches. No, most are NOT that great.

You were bad, you don't get labor day

BUUUUUT we'll delay it until after labor day and you basically have no punishment for your shenanigans.

I think the island hates all the chaos that Ballards creates but at the same time loves the money that they bring to the island. There is definitely a huge difference in the people and attitudes on the island the last few years. There are much more drunken idiots than there used to be.

    HAH THAT WAS YOU!?

haha we were looking at it like "No kiddin', wonder who that is". Yeah we had 6 of us. 4 tacos, a 4runner, and an xterra. I was the one running the dog around, didn't know it was you up there! Yeah we hit the trains...Sunday mid day I think.

We kipped up at St Francis Lake site - highly recommend.

    Every tourist town:

    WE HATE TOURISTS

Tourists pay all the bills and it's the only reason the town exists, without tourism the town would have no income, no way to live, and basically be unsustainable as a community. See: Old Orchard Beach, and a lot of coastal Maine towns where most of the taxes that run the town come from business/property owners that are doing it just because of the tourism, and without it, the businesses wouldn't survive and would close up shop. Unoccupied buildings, no tax income, and no people.

    WE HATE TOURISTS

I was thinking of finding or starting a new thread where people can post interesting youtube videos with no particular affiliation to Tacomas, vehicles, wood working, etc. but rather just links that others might find interesting. I find myself spending more time surfing youtube and less time watching TV. But before starting the thread I thought I would post here to see if anyone knew of an existing thread on TW. I have posted brilliant new threads before(brilliant according to me) only to find out that someone had already posted something similar. I did do a Google search for threads and found some threads that were youtube and Tacoma specific but nothing more broad based.

I will give it a little more time for responses to see if there is a hidden thread out there but this could be good....I have found some nice restoration channels on you tube where some people do an amazing job restoring old stuff in pretty bad condition. I seem to get sucked into those videos and of course Tom Brady, Larry Bird and car crash highlights.

Yup - morning after. Rained until about 7, then cleared up. We didn't bother with a fire, we were all kind of cooked from the weekend by that point

We used that other road to get out, made WAY more sense!
