Drove to the Ford lot to look at newish leftover 2022 Raptors.

They wanted a 20k markup + MSRP on all the Raptors and 70k markup on the used electric Ford Lightning platinum trim. $140k for a used Ford Lightning truck! What a trip. Going to keep looking.

 

Installed a Backflip MX4, Weathertech front floor mats, LED dome lights, K&N cabin and engine air filters, and a pop-a-lock tailgate lock. Next projects will include dash mounts for cell phone tablet, and GPS and LED headlights. Going to get my son to use his 3D printer to create a coin holder for the square hole in front of the cupholder.

Gave the new truck the first winter protection spray! Went with CRC HD Corrosion Inhibitor for the parts I could get to and fluid film for anything harder to reach. The spare wheel even got a coat.

It now smells like a sheep, as do I.

 

New brakes. My calipers were leaking and one of the pistons on the driver side was toast. I also screwed up pretty bad.

 

to be honest they just said they’ll order it this week. I don’t know how long it’ll take but I believe it was on their list of not backordered things so hoping to have it done for true fall weather, as I wanna be in the whites/green mountains pretty much every weekend that time of year
