Pot holes suck !! , the freeways and roads here in Tennessee are pot marked with broken sections of the roadway . I hit a pot hole in my Camaro a few months ago and I thought I hit my oil pan which is 1" below the front subframe . Fist thing I did was check the oil pressure then pulled off the road and got out and checked . No damage but I was pissed

Kinda like this kid we came across while wheeling around LBL a couple of years ago, in Daddy's Audi with his girlfriend. At least this was a Quatro, but he didn't fair any better in ruts that were 12" deep. The poor undercarriage of that car.

personally, no. There were several heat related incidents over the long weekend. Several deaths… Im not sure the one you speak of, but if it the lady from Window Rock, Im slightly familiar with the case. Inner canyon temps were over 100 every day. People dont prepare… she’s -semi-local and prob from a local tribe based on Window Rock. It’s sad either way. So many unprepared people think “Its ok, Im used to it.” Or fail to notice that the NPS has put out notices that water is not available on many trails at all this summer. Darwin doing his thing, culling the herd….

 

Gawd yes.
Left OMA this morning (a day late. That’s another story…) it was soooo humid that even a decent 70s temp was still horrible. But then we landed in PHX at 8am and it was all ready over 100… fuck that. Had errands to run before leaving and the temps were hitting 106 by noon. Im out. Why would anyone want to live at the center of the sun? fuk. That.

Unfortunately losing power in a Ford is normal.
I’ve had two and both had electrical gremlins that wouldn’t quit.
One went through 3 ecu’s due to water infiltration. Known problem. Ford did the fix, did it again,they refused to honor another repair. So no more fords for me.. I wish you luck.

 

That’s what you get for driving a Ford…shoulda kept the Tacoma
