Ask the general manager to have the dealership buy the truck you are wanting, then resell to you.

Seems only fair given they bought out your lease without warning you.

 

so, what if I buy a new Taco and within 3 months get in an accident where the insurance totals the vehicles and the insurance buys it for salvage, will Toyota ban me from buying a replacement Taco if I don't wait 3 months?

Toyota should blacklist Toyota Financial; OP never legally owned it being a lease.

 

It occurs to me, that Toyota doesn’t seem to care *too* much when their dealers charge MSRP +$10k market. But let someone on the other side of the sale make a few bucks…. Well hell, we gotta slap that shit down now.

 

Toyota Financial is where they make their money. Yes Toyota or any other manufacturer make money by selling vehicles. But they also sell vehicles in so that they can finance them. They probably make almost as much on the financing. Speaking of Toyota financial I currently have 2 Subarus that are leased through Toyota financial for the last 2-3 years.

 

Did not read all of the post's but, I can not believe the dealer ship could not make it right and get you a Pro.

 

I think "Blacklisted" is a bit of an extreme term. While the dealership is independently owned, it is still a franchise of Toytota and they have to follow Toyota's rules or they could lose the franchise. The car business is still crazy right now. High demand cars are being scalped and just like the ticket business the guy selling them doesn't like seeing someone making money off their product. Unlike the ticket business the car makers don't like it because there is competition and it puts their product in a bad light. I am in a current battle with GM on getting a Z06. I have bought 2 C8s in the past 6 months and sold one. I get that they don't want one person buying multiple cars, but not my fault they took so long on getting the z06 out. They are not being flexible because I plan on trading in my c8 on the z06 and they are accusing the dealership of collusion.

If I understand one of OP’s most recent posts correctly, Toyota Canada will not sell him any vehicle now. If that’s true…he’s literally blacklisted.

I see a lot of people buying brand new cars and selling them for almost twice the value on Bring-A-Trailer and Cars&Bids. Kinda crazy
MSRP for this truck is $108K

 

they said they would look into it more today. but its beyond them. its coming directly from Toyota Canada.

 

LOL just go buy something else then you can afford it. Get an F150 you'll have the same or better gas mileage but more power/acceleration/interior room etc. And you can hang lights and snorkels and stupid shit all over it just like tacoma people do with their trucks.

 

It’s OK for the dealers to add huge markups over MSRP though. Greedy bastards.

 

I would get a gladiator and take my chances with death wobble.

 

I wish that had the turbo engine 2.0L option... It would be on my possible next truck list.
