I met a bourbon color Lab this morning as the one fireman arrived for this first day of school. Tamarack is training to become a cadaver dog, but he was excited to meet all the kids, and parents. Two police officers were there for the kids, too, but they weren't early enough to get the prime spot next to the intersection (to park with a few flashing lights on). Terrific Tuesdays begin now!

I tested my stick deodorant with Baker, and he recoiled from it, so I add that to my list of cat repellents for the desk. Open a stick deodorant, or a bag or steaming cup of herbal tea should keep the cat away from my work (or play).

    My new Kitten !!!

This happened not more than an hour ago !!! , my SIL called me and told me this Kitten needs a home . Knowing I've got Rascal who's now 13 yrs old and you can tell she misses playing with Gizmo or Snickers . I decided to adopt this Kitten and I know Rascal will enjoy having another cat to play with again and keep her company when I'm not around

I'm going to pick up this Kitten this afternoon and bring him home with me . Like I mentioned this just happened not more than over an hour ago and don't even have a name for him yet !! . I'm thinking of a Military name like Gunny or Sarge ???

Well, he does appear to have "stripes" on his "sleeves" so you've got options.

Gunnery Sergeant Floofybutt? Clearly he'd be Gunny for short.

"Winger" As in John Winger from Stripes..

"Sgt. Hulka"? Or maybe with his bands just "Stripes"

    "Ox"?

All Stripes theme here as you can see

He loves to play and another funny trait is he growls at his food especially if he see's his tail moving and makes Nom Nom sounds while eating

Everyone is making Army recommendations to a Marine.

    They are not the same.

I'm screwed now , Gunny has found out he can climb up to the top of the baby gate that's blocking his access to the rest of the house

Yep I'm in trouble now , he just jumped up onto my walker and that's just under 3 ft distance . Not bad for a tiny 6 week old kitten

I know Patton was Army, but I didn't know there was a "branch restriction" just to give a name?:notsure:

I was even going to suggest "Rommel" because the little guy looks like a trouble maker. :goingcrazy::laughing::laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl:

It’s a cat thing. If he explained it a mere hooman could never understand. Makes purrfect cat sense though.
