Just heard that my truck is listed as “Rail Depart on 09/06” which is when the ODO changed to 1mi and a small amount of fuel was shown. At least it’s on the way from the factory to the shipping port. Another month I’d guess.

The SET site shows an estimated arrival date and it is dynamic. For example when I ordered my truck it was estimated mid-October, moved up to last week September and has now been at October 3rd for a few weeks. The site also does not have any trucks that have due dates that have already passed. Has anyone bought from a SET dealer? Did the ETA date on the site match when you got your truck? Did it accurately adjust for delays?

I have confirmed via several sources if the Temporary VIN has an "N" in the 10th byte, it will remain a 2022 regardless of when it is built.

Interesting. Mine was also built July 8th (after placing a deposit Dec 1st, 2021!) in Guanajuato. Per my dealer, the truck loaded onto a train in San Diego some time in August, but is now stuck at a railyard in TX with other Tacos built on the same day. I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to arrive at Dayton's Bluff any time soon, but wow, what a crazy timeline...

Mine is stuck at a train depot somewhere too. I got to watch every other Taco on the dealers website from the same build week go out to their new owners.
I try not to be impatient but seriously, fuck all this.

@Rod03 We need your assistance. Is there any truth that you can see to @racerx321 claims about 7/8 builds stuck in Texas?

Maybe the salesmen just didn't have accurate info? But it is curious.
Also curious why some vehicles never show up on the kissmygrits github database, or never listed on the dealers website? I would say the dealer is just not part of that program or something, but I have seen other vehicles assigned to my dealers ID there, and also seen other vehicles on their site with the "sale pending" tag. But never seen my particular vehicle on either.

It's a cluster all around it seems. Really miss the old vlookup and toyota tracker sites now :(

You can filter it. The first column is the dealers and you can kinda narrow the range to your local dealers.

To find your dealer number go to the Toyota website>Shopping Tools>Find a Dealer>Click on the Dealer name and on the new page their number is in the browser address bar.

In my experience all dealers in the same state start with the same two numbers. For example I believe NC is 32.

That 'stuck in a train depot in Texas' info was per my dealer, who has been quite helpful so far, so I have no reason to doubt it. But it does seem like the dealers themselves have had difficulty getting accurate logistics info.
