Mirror Control Switch Question

    That is how I understood it as there is already power coming in on those 2 wires to power the backlight full time, which to me, they need to be cut as you would not want to splice into them and add another power source

    Anyone know if that wiring harness includes wires to tap into to use the window fold button for the heated side view mirror mod?

    I used the mirror fold switch and wires to activate a timer, which sends current to the heated mirrors via a relay.

    Interesting, so the switch doesn't stay depressed after you press it? Is there a special type of relay for the timer?

    Boosted Money Pit....
    You have to clip a piece which turns it into a momentary switch. There are a few timers. I do not have the link handy but if you look up 4Runner mirror or heated mirrors there are some write ups.
