Don't take this the wrong way, but it sounds like your 'research' was one forum post on ranger5g.com (probably this one https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/bilstein-vs-eibach-vs-fox-2-0-rear-shocks.11999/page-5)
and a bunch of random anecdotal evidence rather than a long term usage. but I'm just spitballing here. I like to get into the technical aspect as well as the overall experiences. Eibach is a solid setup, if you're going for middle of the road and cheap price point. So are Bilsteins, OME, Toytec, etc. Fox 'performance' series are comparable to Kings in price and materials, while their Factory Race series is where are the new tech is.

just a couple of things tbh
I’ve actually never seen that thread so no… I’ve been talking to lots of people who run them and other friends of mine that have built trucks and what would be best for what I want to do… and the eibach always stood out for price and capability similar to when I had my bilstiens and ome kit on my truck but they don’t make 6112s yet for my truck plus I wanted to try something a lot of others like and claim to be good.

an off road truck doesn't have to ride like garbage. having properly tuned suspension is great.

As long as it's an angry flip

100%. That's why I like the puddle jumper. And the silver truck frankly. Do they both have room for improvement? Absolutely. So does my wallet...

I see the taco like once a week since my dad has it lol

I really liked the tacoma but the tundra just fits my needs better these days.. I do miss the goose gear I had in the back of the taco for mounting my fridge.. I haven't figured out a good solution for that yet in the tundra and I dont really want to pull out the seats in there. they are actually useful for people unlike the seats in the taco.

    haha i gotcha!

that makes sense man sometimes you just have to figure out what works best for ya. that sounds like a pain thou do you have to remove the full seat or can you just do one part of it to mount the fridge?
haha i guess you right but thats flipping a table thou! completely different!

Do you not have a cover of some sort over the bed? Buddy had his arb fridge on a slider in the bed of his 2013 Taco OR MT and he's got a shell. Works perfectly.

its a 60/40 split like the taco so you could just remove part if you wanted to. still kind of a pain though.

I do not. I was gonna get a rsi smart cap... but there was no ETA on them earlier this year for the 2.5g 5.5' tundras so I got a decked toolbox. now the RSI is finally available but I also like being able to put the rear window down...so I'd probably end up having it on or off at diff points of the year.. or only putting it on for trips. I could do a softopper or a regular tonneau of one flavor... but I havent decided yet.

I've got an elements I could mount in the bed and not worry about.. but I also haven't convinced myself I want to drill holes in the bed. I didn't really care about the taco bed since it was composite, but not a huge fan of drilling the steel bed for some rivnuts and then having rust starting.
