I just took my 2016 tacoma to the dealership to have my transmission flushed for regular maintenance. I had an KDmax tune flash and noticed it drove a little different on the way home.

There is a work order line for a "TXMplus". Is that an ECU update? Has anyone had the dealer update their ECU with KDmax or OVtune?

It is rare but its possible they could have reflashed the stock file. Contact your KDMAX tuner and he will reflash your tune for no charge. If you need any help please let me know.
"TXM" is a term Toyota use's for there maintenance. "Toyota Express Maintenance"

I think that TMX is Toyota Maintenance Express...oil and filter change, tire rotation, multi-point inspection, etc. That said, if your dealer does a TSB update to your ECU it will overwrite your tune. Get ahold of your tuner, he/she will re-flash your KDMax tune free of charge.

EDIT: I see Dave beat me to it :)

That makes sense. I didnt actually get an oil change so i thought it was the ecu update. I didnt see anything on the repair order or under the hood for an ECU reflash. I drove back through solid traffic so i should drive it some more to know if its been reflashed. Thats good to know that i can get it reflashed for free. Thanks!

Normally when a dealer does a flash for a TSB update you will see a sticker under the hood with the flash info.

Doesn't say much for a tune if you need a sticker to tell you what is what IMO.

So I'm gonna chime in on this cause I've had the same issue . So with tecStrem that the dealership uses. Even states in the software that at anytime transmission work is performed that the tcm is to be reset . So I've had two transmission services done in 170k mi . My first service didnt notice tune being affected. At the time my truck wasn't heavily modded. Now jump to my last service and wowzers transmission was shifting funky like it does when you do a reset . So I was like wtf is going on here I bet you they reset my tcm. So I did a reflash and after a half tank or less everything was back to normal . Yeah I was tripping.
