I only got the front version. I replaced a VAVA dual cam set up (1080p). Tried pictures but my windshield is too dark. Very good quality, it also now allows me to use the sunshade.

Its hard to get a decent quality screen shot off my phone to show you guys the rear camera quality. Uploading the videos to a computer and reviewing the footage that way is also way better for picking out details such as licence plates and screen names

Again, super hard to show a quality night time photo. Also my stupid bright Diode Dynamic fog lights dont help the camera in picking up details hahahhaa

I appreciate the pics!! But I think I am gonna go with front only because I am leaning towards getting a RSI smartcap and at that point the camera would be useless lol. Also for anyone wanting one they are currently running 5% off all orders for the next 2 days on their website directly.

EDIT: Just bought front one for $160 Shipped.

Good price. There is an option to mount the camera under the rear middle seats head rest just a FYI. This position might have given you a better angle for recording is you have something mounted on the bed of your truck

Either way glad to here you decided to pull the trigger, and you can always add the rear camera later if you wanted

Anyone know how long is the cable to the rear camera? The site has no info.

Id be guessing, but it would be the entire cabin length of the truck (4 door), plus an extra 5 feet?

There was lots left over after I ran the wire from the front to the back of the cabin. I had to physically organize the cable so that it was evenly distributed at the front and rear of the cabin area. This was to ensure that when I pushed the wire up into the head lining it didn't create any unnecessary bulging in the ceiling

Anyone have a recommendation for a 2nd gen camera? Another incident today. Super long story. No ticket issued to either one of us, but I'm sure my insurance is gonna tag me for some kinda premium once everything is finalized, which is bs b/c he went around me in a no passing zone, squeezed in between me and a merging vehicle from the left and tagged my front bumper. Didn't even know it at the time. BUT...It's enough for about a 1/2" scuff off the paint. But since it's my front end and his rear qtr, I'm sure insurance will view this as my fault.

I got a 3rd gen, and installed the fitcamX. I like it, using it is easy, popping the sd card out and transferring to laptop is simple, and uploading to YouTube is seamless.

As caribe-makaira mentioned above this post, check out fitcamX generic.

I'm going to check this out but I tell you, I'm expecting a little bit of puckering. I got rear-ended on the freeway while I was at a dead stop so it might bring back a little PTSD. Unfortunately did not have my car cam at that time boy would that have been great.

I’ve had mine installed since July and it seemed to be working great. Yesterday, I pulled the SD card to take a look at the video. I discovered that it stopped recording about a month ago when the card filled up. Trying to figure out what happened since I have it set to “loop recording” and should have overwritten the oldest video.
