    A few.
You should gain at least 2mpg going to stock size compared to the tires u have now. I dropped 1 mpg going to 265/75//16s compared to stock size.

Of course thats providing that u actually need new tires and wouldnt be buying a smaller set just to increase mpgs. In which case, how long would the increase in mpgs take to equal the expense of new tires that u dont really need right now?

yeah the tires I have now still have a good bit of life left in them, I was just thinking about it and figured I’d ask for the future. Definitely would make financial sense to buy new when these are still good.

Anyone running 285/75r16 Geolander G015? I am currently on 265/75r16 Toyo AT3's and love them but the are starting to wear. The toyo's in a 33" are $300 each and that's tough to justify. The Geo's are just over $200 each and seem like a solid tire with good road manners.

With the 5100s it made it a firmer ride but in a good way. The stock OR suspension was really bouncy and would nose dive when braking. Now it feels more planted to the road on and off roading. Way better than stock.

I’ll add in there that the 5100s are mono tube shocks with a digressive piston. They “cycle” a lot better than stock and have more travel.

“The magic of the digressive rate piston is that it can retain softer and compliant high speed compression characteristics while having relatively stiff low speed compression characteristics. This makes the shock incredibly active and compliant over bumps and rough roads while being firm and resistant towards unwanted body motions making the car that much more stable. Essentially you can have a setup that will do a better job of managing unwanted body motions while also still providing a compliant ride, so that you can achieve the maximum performance of your vehicle possible while making less compromises.”

That was with the RXT leaves @ stage 1 (which gave me about 2.25" rear lift - about .5" more than advertised) which made me have to lift the front more than I wanted (probably 2.5-2.75") to keep the rake proper. I was never happy with the RXT's, they lifted too much and we're way too stiff. I have since swapped over to Deaver J66 leaf packs which are softer and sit lower which let me lower the front about .75" to match with the rear leaves and it rides immensely better. Handles better as well and axle angles are happy again. Still looks tough where it's at now but being comfortable is a big deal to me.

I have the Icon RXT Stage 1 and you've got me looking at the J66 for the past 30 mins now.... they were on my radar back when I was deciding on my setup but your statement above makes me want to pull the trigger. Stage 1 RXT still seems a bit stiff for me (next to no load in the bed)

You won't regret it. It's night and day different if you mostly keep the bed unloaded. Even nicer if you install them with an upgraded shackle - I changed mine out for the greasable BAMF HD's.
