Ok just got back. It looks pretty much like the last time we were out there but with more mud. The entrance is pretty slick, I got stuck in 2wd had to switch to 4hi to get past it but after that it seemed pretty easy.

4x4s will definitely make it through, Prerunners might have a hard time in the slick spots

Oh and there were a lot of ATVs and trucks out there so it looks like it's "Open"

today after school ( 3:30 ) I'm going to scout the area of choice you'd guys like to go on. i plan to take many photos so am i going to 5 mile or hoggs or other?
    - sorry havent been on to check up on things -
-hoggs hollow on sunday WE GOT STUCK, our pull out truck GOT STUCK, the other truck that came to help GOT STUCK!!! hoggs is VERY MUDDY !!! we had to shovel our way out to get out pull outs didn't work... though it could have dried up some by now..... but as manahan said draper city bought it and you cant go to the true hoggs well kinda but with the houses up there they are asked to call police for those who trespass and trust me they do and there's a ton of " Draper City park signs saying do not go beyond in motor vehicle if seen some please call, and it literally lists the cops number

    - 5 mile there are a ton of trails as viperjay said, we could choose from many that 4x4 stock could make 4x2 might need help in few spots.

Snows just a nice added bonus for the day does anyone have objections to others attending even if there not tacomas?

Yep, its pretty easy, stock 4x4 will not have any trouble at all (remember, low 4 is your friend when it gets slow and bumpy!).
I think a 4x2 will do just fine in most parts. As you said, it might require a quick pull in some spots, but thats half the fun!

Meeting at Cabela's is nice and easy, however the drive from Cabela's to 5 mile usually results in the group getting split up due to all the traffic features... so meeting on the other side might not be such a bad idea.

Perfect I have a couple of people who might have the day off. So is cabelas still the meeting spot? Or have we migrated to walmart?

Personally I think Cabela's is the easier spot to meet since everyone knows where it is and where we are meeting. I told some people I know that we are meeting at Cabela's at 1100 but I'm not sure if they are coming or not. We can just use radios and phones to keep in touch if someone gets lost

If you are going to meet at Cabellas, I'll just meet you at 5 mile. I live in the southwest end of the valley. Those of us who live our here just take redwood straight to Lehi crossroads. Just a thought.

    ??

I'm not sure I follow... I have an apt. in the valley already.

FYI, I plan on staying up canyon with some old work friends on Thursday and Friday night, so I don't get stuck in the valley when UDOT closes Highway 210 (Little Cottonwood Canyon) for avalanche control work.

Have fun at the meet, I'll shred the pow for everyone who is stuck in their trucks!

You too; if there is snow at 5 mile, be sure to carve some turns with your trucks, you wouldn't want them to miss out on the stellar Utah pow!
