I live in Columbia too. I don't think you have to worry too much about hitting any elk!

I think you just bought a EL pro. Is this the one from Greer? I'd inquired about that one but the markup made me happy to stick with my 21 TRD OR.

I saw this on YouTube; not sure where this guy lives. I hope he didn’t pay that markup. Crazy

ha; yeah, I’m pretty sure you’re right about elk in Columbia

My EL Pro manual is supposed to be here on 9/26; got pushed back from 9/21

Hey that's me! I was running some channel analytics and noticed a chunk of views came from Tacoma World and I was thinking "I didn't post to Tacoma World". So I ran the URL into the board search to find the post.

I'm in Utah, the Pro cost me a +$3kUSD markup. I didn't want to pay it (in fact, I declined it) as I was looking for a Lunar Rock Off-Road with Tech Package and 6MT. When it looked like even a cloth LR 6MT was going to be impossible (let alone one with the tech package), due to '23 orders coming and the color cancelled; I decided to call the dealer back and accept the Pro.

I don't have any regrets, but it wasn't necessarily the best deal. I really wanted the tech or advanced tech and Pros seemed to be the only way to go. As stated in the video, if I was going to modify the truck I definitely wouldn't get the Pro at all. But I'm hoping to keep this one stock for a long time (I do need sliders though). I have my Land Cruiser/LX470 for the gnarly stuff.

We do have elk and deer around, saw a few deer off the side of the road coming to work today. Almost squashed a rabbit and flattened a few mice. Good times on my commute.

Thanks. I'm hoping to get her out in the dirt next weekend for a 200 mile overland trip. Nothing too difficult (without sliders), but a couple of water crossings and a great chunk of Utah's desert and Capitol Reef National Park.

The manual transmission is such a hoot, and with the pro suspension, it's tough to not want to push it to high speeds over the easy stuff.
