Favorite Whiskey?

The name Smoke Wagon is another name for a revolver, hence the crossed pistols on the bottle badge. The bottle itself is pretty nice. I couldn't toss it out but don't know what to do with it.

 

Each day, you can write one unhealthy effect of hoarding behavior on a little piece of paper, then slip it into the bottle.

The smoke wagon ucuf I had seemed very young. The 2nd revisit was a lot better than my initial experience. Needed some time to breath. It probably was a couple months in between tastings.

 

I tried JD SiB years ago but didn’t have the appreciation for Whiskey like I do now. I may have to revisit this. BTW my list of bottles to try only keeps getting longer, lol! Still trying to hone in on a good “go to” too.

Make sure it's SiB Barrel Proof. I do not endorse the rest of the JD line due to either disgust (don't like it) or ignorance (haven't had it).

But this SiB BP? Holy shit. This is whiskey, not swill. Like, unique, complex, high quality whiskey worth every penny of the price.

It's the last thing I expected from Jack Daniel's.

The one in Augusta has a liquor store built in but with a separate exterior entrance that doesn’t require a membership. It’s independently owned, not ran by Costco…so no Kirkland goodies inside

Yep. PA Delaware Costco liquor has a separate entrance.

You are making me want more of my 2017 bottle that I only drink on special occasions.

 

I looked at that bottle yesterday at the store, seemed gimmicky, but I guess not. I like Eagle Rare, may have to try it.

I am down to one bottle of Stagg Jr, and have been looking for that lately.
My go to place has Blanton's and EH Taylor Small batch often, but not Stagg. What happened?
Used to be able to find Weller Antique easy enough, have not seen it in a year.

 

I stopped by ABC this morning after my workout and got the last 750 bottle they had. Same barrel as my current bottle.

State warehouse has 0 cases of the stuff right now. Will need to make these last.

 

Picked up two of these today at a friends recommendation...not really a fan.
