If the lake in front of my house was dry, I was considering getting some contracts. I don't think the local township would have minded too much if I used the dry lakebed to store a few hundred tons of oil -- temporarily, of course.

I would have rinsed it all out when I was done.

This new 2,500 cap on energy bills in the UK will drive the energy prices way up in the next year or so. (and maybe make for some cheap but quality goods from there too)
Imagine a business that uses lots of energy just got a locked in price on energy for two years. One that's pretty much guaranteed to be lower than the prices the next ten years after till nuclear or some alt comes around. Yikes

Is it possible to buy small lots of oil barrels? Ik gas can be bought like that. Not even kidding i might do it. Fill the back patio or a couple storage units with oil drums for a couple years lmao

    BTC? What doin'?

Can't sleep. Interview is in a few hours. This is literally the first interview I've ever had for a job. As a carpenter usually I just get hired on a handshake. Any tips from you absence of color collar folks?

I wasn't going to mention them specifically. When asked the "What's your greatest weakness" question I was going to reply "investing in companies with shit management". lol

Yeah, not even I'm bold enough to make that statement in interview. It can easily be seen in the wrong light. I've got a pretty good answer for that question that will turn the negative into a positive for the position.

I have 4 bullet points for you:

    - There are no problems. There are "challenges" and "opportunities" and all challenges are really just opportunities anyway.

    - It's about the organization, not you. How can you contributeto the teams goals and quality?

    - Tell them what you want them to know about you via your answers.

    - Have a "biggest flaw" ready and be honest about it. This is a better look than tap dancing around it.

Example: "Say you discover fraudulent paperwork. What do you do?"

    Ok: "Report it"

Better: "Well that's definitely an opportunity for us to improve, so that needs to be reported and we need to figure out how fix it asap."

Better still: "Well that's an opportunity to reduce organization liability and improve our methods, so lets get it reported and fixed."

Best: "I always try to stay vigilant for those kinds of errors, because that's an opportunity to reduce organization liability and improve our methods, so lets get it reported and fixed."
