I think we all know where you work...

 

I picture engineers on this old beast using their slide rules and a drafting guy with his array of pencils and other assorted tools. A wee bit before computer stuff.

 

Then I thought of stepping up that plug in the side of the head but not sure if that thermal dodad portion would fit in there.

 

Could you get a tee, the size of the bung in the thermostat housing and use that to supply both the CTS and heater?

 

Well I currently don't have a housing with the bung in it. I just may call auto parts store for that option. Then I wouldn't need a T even. Just use factory temp sensor in the housing. Website says they can get me one by this afternoon. $20.00
Leaning towards this option.

 

Yeah, it sounds like you over thought it.

I tell everyone I know, of course I'm hard worker...I make everything harder that it needs to be ...

 

Another thought just occurred to me, maybe the other suction port on the water pump that I just planned to plug off. Didn't even think of that.
Now I'll have to process this idea

 

Processing data; smell of smoke
Water pump suction not as accurate because it would read from radiator pull side
Give me something to look at on the gage

Same here! I think it would be so fun!

 

Not exactly but something like that. They've got 16 Cessna Citations at Fire Station 2(Shuttle Landing Facility) with tail numbers that show flight paths from all over the U.S. not sure exactly what's going on there.

So where does the heater core hoses come off of? Thats typically where ive seen the chevy ones. Any plugs on back of intake?

whats top speed on that?

 

Probably a block heater?
