Hmmm, I see some folks with Week 33 builds are scheduled for production next week; I find that odd because I was just told my Week 34 Tacoma was built earlier this week and is already enroute from Guanajuato to Veracruz. Does it make sense Toyota would jumble the production schedule in such a way?

My Temp VIN works in the app to show my truck. I have not tried the connected services. But what I think people do is sign in to the Toyota website and check the VIN there. The temp VIN works there and shows your build BUT will eventually stop working and most say it stops because the truck has been built and the temp VIN cancelled. If the temp VIN is not working on the website it should mean your truck has been built. I don't know about the app. On the app it is still showing my Temp VIN for me.

I think it depends on trucks delayed by certain components. I don't think they will hold off on week 34 just because they are waiting on select components for some week 33s. I have seen some week 32s with November due dates.

My VIN number begins with a 3, which I’ve been told means it was built in Mexico. However the dealer sent me a screenshot which states it was built 08/10/2022 in the San Diego plant. How does that work?

@BLjor621, what is the 11th byte of your VIN? The options are "M" or "T"; given "M" means Tijuana, which is right over the border from San Diego, I'm guessing you're showing an "M" in your VIN.

It’s an M. That makes sense, I remember reading that tacomas are only build in Mexico now. Thank you!

T means the vehicle will be/was built in the Guanajuato Mexico factory.

Mine said that also but as per sticker and VIN it was built in Baja and sent up to San Diego for processing. Tacomas are only being made in Mexico right now.
