Why is this TSB for double cab only?

    There's a leaking 3rd brake light TSB for 3rd gen access cabs too. I started a thread on it. Do a search.

    I think the TSB I linked to is from Toyota Canada yeah. But the parts on our trucks are all the same so it doesn't exclude US sold access cabs from leaking.

    FWIW I've been waiting since may for the updated 3rd brake light assembly to arrive at my dealer and they have 0 idea when tf it'll show up.

    The light assemblies are different between access cab and double cab. If you look closely, the double cab doesn't have phillips screws on the outside. It mounts via nuts on the inside--and you have to drop the headliner to get to them. This is why the manual says to take it to the dealer if the bulbs burn out. It's the dumbest design.
