Are my 2022 OR wheels lug centric?

I read on here the factory 2022 OR factory alloy wheels are hub centric. However, when I took mine off to paint them, I had to manually center each wheel (with a gap to the hub) to get the mag lugs started. All my other vehicles have always had the lug holes align (with a little c/cc rotation) to the female lug holes.

So are my wheels lug centric? Do I have something wrong with my hubs?

I didn't take any pics when I remounted.

    Oh look, another mod....

My wheel lugs are ego-centric! Those smug bastards do whateeeeeeeeeever they want, and I resent them for that.

Unless you have conical lug nuts and seats, they are hubcentric.

Gap? Pop the hubcap and take a pic.

Yes. The stock wheels are hub centric. So, you might have to rotate the wheel just a bit relative to the hub to get the lugs to run down the whole way.

Hubcentric has to do with the lip of the hub centering the wheel on the hub and not have the taper seats of a lug to do it. The wheel studs possibly not being centered in the holes is a byproduct of this.

Can't really tell from the slight above view.
Looks like a you might have some gap at 3 and 9 o'clock?

    Here's mine for comparison.

Mine appear to have a gap compared to yours. Do you use mag lugs?

Does your hub support your wheel and hole matchup when spun?

If by mag, you mean tapered seat lugs on the OR wheels, that is likely a bad idea. You can get the Toyota lugs in black.

I already replaced factory chrome lugs with black ones. The listing calls them mags and are the same as factory Screenshot_20220909-154436_eBay.jpg

If they fit firmly it would seize instantly and you'd never get them off.

They are hub centric, but the lugs definitely do the rest of the work.

Also the lugs are why the steel spare is considered temporary.

Although tapered, they are not ideal at holding steel rims.

The washers and lug surface rusts over time.

From the the part I can see, yours looks fine. 3 and 9 o'clock are obscured by shadows...
Are you looking at the hub dust cover and not the actual hub?

I had a flat tire once and the guy at the tire store was flipping out over the Factory Lugs and Spare. I tried explaining it to him but he insisted that it was completely wrong, SMH.

Seeing the space under the bosses could be odd looking, but man, you'd think that a tire guy would have seen it or some truly odd shit in the past. Hopefully that guy nevers sees a car with lug bolts. :boom:
