Ive got a 22 SR5 coming, left by rail 9/8 from San Diego to Central Va, it”ll be my 4th or 5th Tacoma in my 75 years of life. Just praying I don’t die of old age before I take possession

Have any of you Ladies & Gentleman made any Mods to your Tacomas that you’d consider age related???

    thx for the input!!

Still married? A cone of silence comes to mind? :)

All kidding aside, some step rails of some sort for getting in and out of the truck and the retracting bed step for getting in and out of the bed.

Not a great image but these side steps are great - foot can't slip through them and they are grated to boot.
Bed step comes in handy as hell too, as well as the Bakflip MX4

Just got my Medicare Card ... I'm ready to roll LOL

I suggest aftermarket arm rest cover, nice and thick. I thought the original stock armrest cover was very thin and dug into my elbow which didn't feel good.

If you have any issues with sitting in the truck for periods of time.... I swear by this item.. I got 2 of them one for Driver one for Passenger side.
The 'slot' is the back-side allowing the spine to not jam-up -

The result is 2-fold for me.
One, being shorter it sits me up a bit higher and Two, it makes long drives much more manageable on the back-side.

^ This, but the side steps were because my wife is so short she complained about getting in and out of the truck. Bed step was a big help for getting up into the bed.

My vertically challenged wife has one of these on her office chair (she and I both work from home) and she also likes it. Something to consider. I also agree with the step bars but be careful on the type you buy. I originally had the 5-inch oval OEM bars on the truck but found they were too close to the door sill to be of any practical value for getting into the truck. Switched them out to the predator bars and found these to be much more helpful. I don't use them to get in but my wife has to, and she likes the predators much better than the ovals. Since the most off-road I go are dirt and gravel roads I'm not worried about a ground clearance reduction.

Someone above mentioned a center console cover and I agree 100% on this. I got this one. Its nice and cushy and looks good in the truck: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08R79SK5C?ie=UTF8

I just turned 70. Learned long ago if you want to outlive your toyota pickup, leave it all stock. I ordered mine with some factory options like a tonneau cover and bed mat.

I am 71, 2nd Tacoma and I just drove 9 hrs straight except for gas fillups, and my back and hips didn't bother me a bit, I expected the power drivers seat helps, I am 5,8

I'm 70, 5' 10" and although I installed step rails (mainly for looks) I don't ever use them. Now my wife does, but if I try to use it I just bump my head. I do use them when I clean the roof.

My Tacoma was built this week and oddly enough, the "age related" changes I'll be making are exactly none, which I suppose in and of itself qualifies as an "age related" non-change. :p
