Totally. Some I think were just always this way but the fortune and the fame exacerbated it

 

It could be worse. Like if they were young bubble pop singers drunk on their undeserved by talent fame who go cray cray and ruin their lives with drugs.

 

Happens to plenty of people who suddenly get money and fame regardless of the vehicle though. Deserved by talent or whatever. Though at least if someone is ruining their own life versus putting many innocents in harm's way or worse I suppose that's their own choice.

 

Rough night for the Giants. But we did check off another ballpark! Nice park the Rockies have here.

With Braves leading 5-4 Braves Kenley Jansen GAVE the game away in the 9th with a hit batter and two walks including the last walk to give St. Louis the walk off (literally!) win.
Jansen scares me like Will Smith did as a closer - neither are that good or in control most games and somehow squeak by. Not this time, Jansen sucks and it’s been showing the last few times he’s played.

 

Watching my hometeam, the good ol Mariners this evening... And I can't recall ever seeing the opposing Cleveland Guardians ever play them before this series.

Pitching Clock: Meh. Games aren't that long.
Defensive Shift Rule Change: Exactly what I wanted to see changed.

 

I don’t have a problem with the pitch clock. I go to a lot of Triple A games and it really has made the pace of the game much much better. It keeps batters in or near the box and pitchers on the mound. I don’t like the fact they are still putting a runner on second in extra innings, though. To me that’s not baseball. JMO.

 

Yeah, I'm not at all a fan of the runner on second rule. Well... maybe if they started it in the 19th.

 

Pickoffs and step-offs reset the pitch clock, and the rules will limit pitchers to two for each plate appearance. (The number would reset if a runner advances.) A pitcher can make a third pickoff attempt, but if it's unsuccessful it will be a balk, allowing the runners to move up a base.
