1967, the only year with the small rear window. The more common large window, "panoramic cab" in GMC talk, was optional.
Also flagging it as a 67 is the lack of side marker lights, they became a requirement in 1968.
Notice too that is an eight foot box step side, might have started life as a fleet or utility company truck.

It also could have the GMC exclusive 60 degree V6 engine lurking under the hood, often called a "big block" V6 they weighed more than a V8 and used V8 quantities of fuel too.
    Displacements were 305 & 351, larger trucks could have the 401 & 478 sizes.

Notice the spark plugs are on the intake manifold side of the valve covers.

Dad had a sign on the fence by our pool growing up that said - welcome to my ool, notice there is no P in it. Please keep it that way.
And I would tell all my friends that he had some magic shock that would turn purple when you peed so we knew who did it.

I was curious about the side marker lights, figured they just filled them in but it makes sense now. Thanks :hattip:

I'm getting some progress this AM on the Corvette.
I was reading a little about the temp sensor and found the name of a place that can turn and thread on the old style sending unit.
Another option would be to buy the one that fits the 3/8 hole and run it with a resistor.
Was kind of curious if a information excavator type guy could give me a idea what that would look like...ya know part #'s and stuff..

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It might have been good to know about the After market heads.

The old small block chevy parts that went for scrap no one wanted.

Then I did not want to deal with packing and shipping.

LOL… yes, yee olde interwebs have changed the accessibility of information. My shelves of yearly parts catalogs and interchange books have started to mean less and less to youngun’s. The most common question I get now is… I have a part# 125978622 what does it fit? Oh? Now you need something?
Kent-Moore tools is another I get…. What is this for? What vehicles used it?
I’m the young rabbit in the field and sadly most of my guides are disappearing…

Heck yeah. Only took me 5 holes to absolutely dial in this 6-32 single profile thread mill. No broken bits and a perfect threaded fit!!!

From what I read during yesterdays marathon the resistor in series with the incorrect sending unit (TS76) doesn't actually make the gauge work correctly.

The gauge will be accurate at one and only one temperature. At all temperatures higher than the calibration point established by the resistor, the gauge will read LOW.

So you might be able to wire in a resistor that will read operating temperature (say 195) spot on, the problem is if the temperature exceeds 195 the gauge won't move enough in relation to the temperature rise to signal a problem.

My take away is that the easiest and most accurate method is to turn down and re-thread the TS6 sensor.
If you mess up the sensor they are less than $20 so not an expensive challenge.

BTW: Standard Motor Products offers 2 lines, Standard (Blue Streak) and the budget line "T-series".
Pay the few dollars more for the Standard line.

T-series parts will have a trailing "T" in the part number. Ex: TS6T
