I think the girl at home Depot liked me and hit the discount button. I left with 32ft of 2x4 and a 4x8 sheet of OSB for $45 total with tax

I told my buddy this and he says "she must have forgot the OSB.". Checked the receipt and everything is on there :)

Need to cut more out; front face won't butt up for an even open corner weld with the top plate

Stupid crossmember allows the center to "bow" so I threw in some flat stock in the center to keep it straight.

On another note; the Miller respirator I used to have sucks if you have facial hair.

Think I mentioned my complaint about it...anyway just tossed it out in favor of this thing -

Fits well under either welding hood -

Found a big ol box of Vacuum Tubes from various radios/TV's and whatnot. Thought, hey a lot of these are Japanese made RCA tubes they're probably good still... Then I remembered Japan didn't have its technological renaissance until the late 70s early 80s. So yeah these are all probably meh and not worth posting for sale.

    12AX7 or AU7?

Those would be clear tops and are great in any preamp.

I'll dig through em later and take note of what they are and quantity. My couple of working tube radios and my tube amp don't use either of those.

Yeah not for an amp, as they'll use different tubes. They're used before the power stage in converting said signal so they'll only be found in an integrated (in the preamp section of the board), or a separate preamplifier.

I don't recall RCA offering any amp tubes that are worth a damn, but the preamp clear tops are always desireable.

Not worth a whole lot, but even audiophiles enjoy them for their low cost and clarity. Great way to get into tube rolling for beginners too.

If you had a chance to measure them, you can sell them as matched pairs for a bit more. But even head-fi hobbyists can benefit from single tube rolling.

I think a single sheet of OSB cost more than that when I did my shed roof earlier this year.
