Installed some KC ditch lights, pretty straight forward, went smooth. Added a switch m, everything works. Turn on the truck and I have MULTIPLE warning lights, no lane departure, brake power low etc…

What in the hell could I possibly have done?

Start by drawing a wire diagram of exactly where and how your lights are connected to the truck.

    Oh look, another mod....

Check the cables for the front facing sensor and front camera (if you have one). It sounds like it is unplugged.

    Enough for now
Did you cut wires pushing through the firewall? I had a “oh shit that was close” moment doing that when the hangar I was using knicked a wire bundle when it broke through the firewall grommet. Thankfully everything still works. Hindsight I should have went auxbeam or switch pros

Not enough information is being given - if I were you I would include pics/diagrams of what you did

whoa! That’s no joke and good to know, I’ll probably not run anymore leads as it’s kinda tight already and I have an auxbeam in the box ready to go.

omg, I checked it again and I did hit a couple wires. I hate myself. I was trying to be so careful. Is a new wiring harness the only solution? Anyone know?

You can reconnect the wires, The heat gun solder butt splice connectors would be your best bet.

Why would you need a whole new wire harness? Just reconnect the wires.

This, not a huge issue just a PITA, had a similar issue on my ‘00 and chased and soildered (you can also crimp) my way through - took a couple hours but better than a new harness

if it’s just a very minor Knick you could also try separating the knicked wires and wrapping it in electrical tape

If you still have issues after addressing the Knick, definitely Occum’s Razor it and look for fuses/unplugged sensors before jumping straight to harness

we can not help you, because you have not told us WHAT CIRCUIT YOU WIRED INTO to power your lights. we are not psychic

where are you drawing power from?

next time, just wire your lights directly to the battery, with an appropriate switch in the cab and fuse.

    or

if you're going to continue adding electrical equipment, install a separate fuse block somewhere with it's own relay to the accessory wire.

If you did use an add-a-fuse you may check there quickly, it has a specific order to it.

I’d unhook the AAF and replace the OEM fuse and then see if you still have an issue, if you do - either knick, blown fuse, or unplugged sensor
