    Hey Guys!

I've got a 2023 Ice cap trd OR DCSB on order and I've been shopping around for a 3peak A/T. I live in Whistler, Canada so similar conditions to the PNW.

I saw this come up on the market place with only 2000kms on them. Do you thing this will work for my application and if it's a good deal(price is CAD)?

If not what else should I be looking at?

Lots of FSR roads here, snow and HWY driving.

Not sure what the going rate is on these new, but I paid $1200 new (without the rims), I guess around 3 years ago. Regardless, I love my C load Duratracs. Because of the 3 peak snow designation, I sold off my designated winter tires. They are fantastic in the snow, but are not as good on ice compared to a true ice tire. You cant compare.

Because they have the most aggressive thread compared to others, they do have a hum to them, but not a loud hum. Check the thread pattern and compare them to a Wildpeak. The Wildpeak looks more like a street tire, because they are. You have to decide what's more important to you. Off Road, the Duratracs are the closet to a M/T tire, but with better on road charaistics.

Myself, I do not regret selling off the winter tires, and just have to rotate the one set, once a year. I will gladly buy them again. My only regret is they don't come in a 255/75/16 or a 255/80/17.

They have been wearing perfectly so far.

    Good luck!

    Thankyou for the reply!

I would say for me if want a tire for 50/50 on road/offroad. We have a long windy hwy here that I'm on alot so onroad performance is a consideration too.

I think if I choose a tire I'll keep the oem rims and just paint then black like a member has done below.

Other tyres I'm looking at are the ko2 and the wildpeak but since I'm going up a size and trying to keep the unsprung weight under control (gas is expensive up here haha).

2000kms on them i beleive they are within a year old. Canadian tyre has them for 320 a corner. Plus these are fitted and balanced on a steel rim.

I'm happy to pay abit more if these aren't the best set up. Seem to see mixed reviews on these tires some love them and some hate the on road noise after 20k

TPMS included? If not, there is an extra cost to consider.

Do you really want to buy used tires to put on your brand new truck?

587AEDCE-2CD8-44EF-AB1E-1FAED28D8F96.jpg With that price you can buy it new and have it on your OEM wheels. Cheaper as you don’t have to get new tpms. Didn’t paint mine, just placed vinyl. Look great

Having lived in the Sea to Sky corridor for 25 years I always ran a dedicated snow tire on all my vehicles except for my wheeling rig, which didn’t get driven very much. If you can afford it I would recommend a separate set of winter tires for Whistler. The problem with most of the three peak rated A/T tires is they loose a lot of the siping that gives you grip in the snow and ice once they wear down where as a Blizzack or Michelin will have those sipes almost to the wear bars. As far as the price on those tires is concerned a new set wouldn’t be much more than that - keep an eye on the C/T flyers - the Duratracs usually go on sale every three months or so.

Ideally I would like to run just the 1 set. We have zero storage renting here in Whistler lol. I've got a set of wildpeak trails on my forester that have done awesome year round. This will however be my first truck so it might not be as golod as a subaru in the snow?

I wish we had options for the tyre the tacoma comes with, all season tyres are pretty useless for us here.

@FlyingBison , Yes I did . It’s easy. Just take time . It’s been there almost 5 years now and holding strong. Still looks the same although that pic was taken when it was new. Vinyl is for sale here on tw somewhere .

Seems high for used tires. Try a lowball offer.
