Should be here in 2 weeks, going to blow my front end apart next weekend and finish welding my cam tabs. Nick at dirt king was nice enough to let me know their axles wouldnt work with the TC kit so I got the TC axle shafts instead. Currently on the hunt for some oem axles to build, saved myself 700$ not having to get complete axles. Other than that Im going to rebuild the king coilovers I got from a fellow member. Glass will be here friday and ahould be in paint by halloween.

    Then onto the rear!

Hell yeah, I did cut the oem axles for the costumer and added the TC shafts. Instructions are straight fwd. Driving the shaft in the outter was a total bitch but if you have a solid vise you should be golden. Remember, triple measure and tacks first then double check and the commit to the full bead. Very satisfying process.

I assume the welding you mean is for the cam tabs? Im just going to reinforce the stock ones.

The one that requires attention is the limit strap upper mount point. Bump extension and reinforcing the oem tabs it’s pretty straight forward.

Oh oh oh gotcha yeah im going make sure I do evrything right the first time around. Will this kit droop enough to bind the axles?

Obviously still going to run straps im just curious

More like what am I going to do to my 2nd gen. I’m teaching myself to weld so I can build things. First pic is my very first weld. Second pic goes left to right. Getting better slowly but surely. My first welding project will be bed stiffeners.

Got a membership at the local carwash. Seemed like a good investment.

    Only cosmetic so far.
While working on my frame and all that BS, I found this 3B153868-20BE-474D-90D5-9389F2403253.jpg

I’m a welder/fabricator so this is extra horrifying for me .

I’m kind of speechless actually. I would assume that a robot welded this and ran out of gas. But someone operates and programs those robots. Then someone inspects the welds.

    I had to vent

If your machine can run gas, you'll benefit greatly by picking some up. Flux core is soooo dirty

Anybody know a good spot to tap in to get dash illumination and an ignition switched circuit on the passenger side..?

I’m getting ready to install my compressor under the seat and was hoping to avoid running wires all the way over to the driver’s kick plate fuse panel for the switch (which is going beside the passenger’s seat)

It’s a borrowed flux welder. Once I get the hang of it I’ll probably buy something better.

I really don’t recall testing that portion since I was focusing on the UCA heim clearance as specified in the installation document, at the end the kit was working as it should throughout the suspension cycle. @TOTAL CHAOS customer support it’s top notch, called for a couple of questions and they email me some extra references and tips.
