This plug was like this when we got the store 14 years ago, I’ve been meaning to change it. The top plug is the only one that worked, used it to charge my phone today. I don’t know which breaker it’s on so I changed it hot

I really didn’t know it was this bad o_O

    Damn Sam!

Talk about getting your money's worth out of something. It might be interesting to see just how large the breaker is that powers that.

Your panel isn't a Federal Pacific by chance?

BTW: Those blue backed outlets (and switches too) are the cheapest crap available, you often find them in what retail calls "dump bins" for a reason.

Spend about $2.50 - 3.00 each and buy what are called "Spec Grade" outlets.

Harvest time for my extensive garden -- 4 cherry tomato plants in a pail on the porch.

Good outlets are easily identified by the full metal back strap like below.

I have been getting some for about 2 weeks, plenty of green ones still on the vine yet.
I went all out on my garden in a pail, watered it 2X a day and even bought some fertilizer just for tomatoes, probably 10 years worth for me.

That is amateur class compared to what factory workers will do. :smash:

They will bend the crap out of a plug prongs, smash it back in a receptacle like that and use duct tape pulling on the cord to keep a fan or radio running.

I'm sure you saw plenty of crazy stupid stuff people did to their cars -- those same people do things like that at work too. :smack:

the crap I see from untrained I&E techs with 480v blows my mind. I’m always ripping into them about the stupid crap they do. Their unsafe practices finally got to one of them last year when he got zapped with 480v

Nice! It's been forever and a day since I've used taper attachment for a NPT thread but have decided this is the best choice. Thanks for the info.
By the way, seen mention of a shop that modifies those threads for $80.00

I've got more work to do; I need to return the radiator brackets back to the way they come from the factory in order for my new radiator to work.
    I'll get there eventually. Guess that's why it's called a project:oops:
