Does this head unit come with RCA pre-outs? If so, how many?

Apologies for the basic question, but I’ve read numerous pages and visited the website and haven’t seen it mentioned yet.

It has front/rear/mono sub RCA outs plus some models now have a digital optical out. There are pics of the I/O on their website plus eBay listings.

Scroll about 3/4 down the page, look for the picture of the back panel, you’ll see the RCAs.

Hard to imagine that. Go into the Equalizer and make sure the 3D Surround Sound is turned off. It was on by defaut in my jeep and after I turned it off things got a lot louder and more punchy

Hey Nick, are you looking for assistance or just dumping commentary? If the former, could you elaborate on how you perceive it to be worse?

For 2012-2015 Tacomas with JBL + Entune ... Hear Ye, Hear Ye. Below is all the information you need.

If you purchase this Joying unit, it will come with absolutely everything you need right out of the box. No additional connectors will be needed (with the exception of a shark fin GPS adapter...). This includes the jumper to your current USB connectors and backup camera connections. When mounting the unit, I used the two large holes in the stock bracket, attached them to the forward most mounting screw holes, and pushed the unit as far back as it will go. It seemed sturdy enough. Plug the RCA connectors into the bottom set on the back of the unit. You should have 2 connections from the truck side and one from the Joying side which will not have plug-ins. Note: I chose not to connect the Joying GPS antenna as you don't really need this if you intend on using 100% Car Play... The cord is super long and gets in the way.

Now, to get the steering wheel controls to work, here's what you need to do:
    1. Connect CAN IN + CAN OUT behind the unit.
    2. Go to Factory Settings and enter the PW = 3368.
    3. Under CAN Box Type select "XP".
    4. Under Car Brand select "Toyota".
    5. Under Car Model select "Camry".
    6. Under CAN Box select "XP".
With these settings you shouldn't even need to use the learn function. It will work right away.

FYI - I have yet to find an adapter to get from the blue shark fin connector to the GPS antenna.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K03PORU
    ^This will not work.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y631SY1/?coliid=IIMRJGT1SAFIU&colid=2CVYXCAWQ7BWO
^This is likely the adapter you will need from the Joying side, but I still cannot find an adapter to the truck side. The inside needs to be square.

Other things to note from previous posts: This unit will dim when you flip on your headlights. I didn't find the brightness to be an issue at night. Also, the "built-in" microphone on the unit is just okay. Some callers can hear me fine, and others can't. What I have realized is that the mic is on the left side, right near your AC vent. If you want the best chance at people hearing you, close that vent or turn off the air flow when making a call. Otherwise connect the external mic (I'm not sure this will be much better).

Has anyone used an Xfinity Mobile SIM in their Joying HU? We are currently using them as our service provider so I am considering adding a line to have a SIM specifically for the Joying HU. IDK if the bands of service provided are compatible with the Joying unit.

Finally figured out the separate front/rear EQ adjustment. When using the EQ app, hit setup to enable the front/rear independent adjustment. When looking at the graphic EQ for the front speakers, swipe from right to left over the sliders. That will bring up the graphic EQ for the rears. Not intuitive at all but Joying support was prompt as usual (edit: even though the instructions provided were incorrect, it was enough of a nudge in the right direction).

Seriously considering a MiniDSP 6x8 to take advantage of the optical output of the JHU but since I'd be running semi-active, I'd like to see if I can make the pseudo-DSP in the JHU work before dropping another $500+ on the C-DSP, calibration mic, optical cable, shorter RCA cables....

Google the available bands for Xfin and Joying. Do a comparison. Report your finding here.

What have joyings shipping times looked like for those who recently ordered? Ordered recently and am eagerly awaiting a shipping confirmation. Hoping it shows up while I'm away for work this week so I have something to do when I get home.

I figured the return would be much easier if I didn't like it lol.

This is what I found. It looks like bands 2 and 5 overlap?

Joying and T-Mobile have band 2 & 5 in common. My streaming reception/data rate is good. I run a lot of FLAC files @ 44kHz.
    AT&T also uses band 2 and 5.

Hi! 3rd gen owner but I am having issues with my joying unit… after 4 years of flawless use, today it went black. I checked back fuse and it was blown. Replaced, and again… blew fuse right away…

    Anyone have had this issue???
