Leaving the shocks and pitch lateral pressure on the axle and tends to twist it a bit while you're trying to do the install. So I would recommend at least on both the top or bottoms while doing leaf springs

Big oof. Not bad for road driving but if you are going to do any serious wheeling, get limit straps before you do. Also did you get extended brake lines or an extended ABS sensor line? Those make terrible limit straps lol

    I had
I had the lower shock bolt out. Really. that's how I know the shocks are a problem. I have extended brake lines-they are not in yet as I lifted the mount point for the distribution thingy on the rearend and there is plenty of room right now. Those will get on soon... I am just tired and the Packers are playing soon.

I'm gonna get a little fishing in before the game, forecast said it's good fishing so we'll see if that's true.

You'll be fine. I replaced springs with the shocks in place on Tuesday with no ill effects.20220906_152634.jpg

Well, I'm a dumbass. Seems I left my two front windows wide open overnight, didn't realize it until about an hour ago and it's been raining for a long while. I soaked up and wiped down what I could, but the seats and floor are pretty soaked. It's still raining, but if it stops I may try running an extension cord and a hair dryer out there. Any other suggestions on getting the cab dried out? Forecast calls for rain all night, and getting it in my garage isn't an option right now.

    put it in rice

Nah, you could take the seats out if you really crazy but I think you'll just want to get a big fan blowing on it for a while once it stops raining and you can get in your garage. If you have a heater/dehumidifer in your garage that will help as well.

Get some buckets of damp rid. They are a few dollars at menards for the big gallon buckets. Probably the best and easiest since it’s gonna be raining for a while

    HA! Rice...

Thought about taking a box fan out there, put it in the back seat and just fire up the truck and run the heater full blast for a while. It'll probably fog up pretty bad but may eventually clear some of the moisture.

Thanks for the advice. I did nothing, and the locks began working properly again on their own. I wonder if dust gets in them and causes them to malfunction.:notsure:

Does that pike have grubs? Or is that just some weird spots?

Pretty sure it's some sort of parasite. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I remember hearing that black ones are okay but if you see red ones on a fish don't eat it.
