That's a horrible idea. What time?
I was running a muffler and brake shop in a burb north of Detroit. Aside from blizzards that just down everything I've never seen emptier streets.

I called a Marine Corp recruiter to re-enlist after my medical out. He advised me not to or I could the benefits and get a dishonorable discharge if I couldn't meet minimums. I broke my ankle in service and couldn't run. And Marines like to run. I angrily stayed home.

was the same here. had classes that day. hardly any cars on the streets. no one talking in the halls. TVs in every room tuned into one news station or another. in my CAD class the professor had all of the unused monitors showing the news. didn't get much work done, just kept looking to my right and watching the news. most professors made classes optional for the rest of the day/week.

Shout out to my New Yorker friends who endured 9/11.

Still hard to believe it's been 21 years ago today! :(

I was visiting up in Glacier with my parents. Before the trip, I had actually been trying to talk my commander into giving me an early release from my contract so I could get out of the military. She told me she didn't want to lose me and that I should take some time and really think over that decision. When I got back from Montana I told her I had changed my mind.

    My wife sent me this.

On this day... 21 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.
    Never forget 9/11/2001

If you want to you can.
    They are diving crank baits.
Most of the ones in the store do have names.
These are custom painted so I guess technically I could throw a name to them.
If I painted another one like these they would look a little different cause it’s all
hand done and not on a production line.
