    As title describes,

I am taking a 12h trip with whole family at night because I have 3 kids and want them to sleep whole trip.

I am looking for a good case that i can screw to my center console (inside) to carry the hand gun.

    gun: Glock 19.

    thanks in advance.

There are several options for safes that are designed to fit inside the Taco console hole. But these safes are all somewhat limited in their internal dimensions so they cannot support holding some full size guns so make sure whatever you buy will support your Glock.

PS: I have the Tuffy console safe insert in my FJ and it has been rock solid for over a decade.

    Oh look, another mod....
He has a Glock 19, that will fit inside the console safe for the Tacoma. He can also install a molle panel and mount the Glock to it.

Take a basic holster and clip it to the console organizer.

Best place is on your belt. Only need a safe in your car if your are going to leave the pistol there when you go somewhere else, but you shouldn't leave it, you should bring it.

If you cannot CC the Console Vault or similar is your best choice. A holstered Glock 19 will easily fit. It won’t stop the thief that has the tools on him but it will stop the smash and grab thieves. I use mine for for a lot of things, but there are a lot of ways to safely store a firearm in a vehicle

Get a combination pistol safe that you can cable either under the front passenger seat or the back eat.

In my state it's illegal to have your gun in easy access unless its on your person. In other words, it needs to be away from the driver, and unloaded....or in your pocket.

Not sure of the state you're travelling in, as all states have different laws.

For instance, if you're travelling in the state of PA,

If you don't have an LTCF (name of the CCW license in PA), your gun and ammo must be separated, and your firearm in another compartment of the vehicle while you're transporting in PA.

If you don't have a recognized carry permit and you are going out of state, FOPA allows for interstate transport of firearms but it does state that the firearms must be unloaded, and secured (locked) in a compartment as inaccessible to the driver as possible.

This has been interpreted as excluding center consoles and gloveboxes, even if they do lock. So if you're going out of state, even if you have a "lock box"/safe" in your center console, you would not be permitted to transport the firearm in the center console or the glove box. Also, according to FOPA, your firearm, accessories (the law only states firearm and ammo, not accessories like mags) and ammo must be "legal" in your destination.

Look up commentary on the "McClure-Volkmer Act" and you'll see a bunch of law firms stating the above.

As others have said, if you're licensed and traveling to a state with reciprocity, carry it on your person. AND, know the local carry laws of your destination state.
