I am in the Boise/Meridian area in Idaho. Lots of high dollar vehicles running around. They look really good in person. Like how low slung and unassuming they are, and probably smoke those Z06 Vettes I see here too.

Have a couple clients with Teslas, they are very quick, but feel cheap to me.

True about the build quality of all Teslas previous to the Model S/X interior facelift in 2021 (including the Plaid). Here’s my S in the parking spot next to where the Rivian in the OP was spotted.

Not sure what year the most recent one I got to drive was. Believe she only had a year or so. It was last year I got to take it around the block. She went from a Tacoma Pro. She loves it. Not really my thing, but don’t like cars general. So not the Teslas fault. Might be able to talk me into a wagon, would do a Volvo V90 if they make a full EV version. Interior on a Volvo is night and day difference than a Tesla. The Musk mobile doesn’t scream luxury to me. That and can’t figure Elon out, is he trying to save humanity or only profit off it? Guessing the latter. His antics don’t make me want to give him a dime, not that it would matter much to him.

Biggest issues I have with our Tesla Model 3, after a few months of having it:

    1. The touchscreen occasionally locks up, requiring directions/audio/air to be controlled from a cellphone.

    2. The hands-on autopilot or driver assist or whatever (not sure what it's called, as only the GF uses it) drives way too close to the line when making turns at highway speed. It's like there's a lag between the start of the lane turning and the car turning. Sketches me out when sitting in the passenger seat. The same function also does really stupid shit when two lanes merge into one shortly past an intersection.

Do you do a reset to fix #1? If you aren’t sure, that’s when you press and hold both scroll wheels on the steering wheel until the screen goes black.

I wonder if you can drive a Tesla while it is charging? Anyone know?

I think he is right on the cusp of making that order.

What? You only need a few feet to go from that hitch mounted generator to the charging port. I’ve seen a video before charging a little Chinese EV with a generator while driving.
