An EV can charge on 115v, some EV's can go farther on a full charge than some petrol cars on a full tank. Seems you are uninformed.

Here's an engineer that actually compares everything from build to years of use and an EV pollutes less than any ICE vehicle. Backs it up with data and fact. In case you are confused.

It would appear to be all about trade offs and what you are willing to give in order to supposedly " save the planet "...

Meanwhile China and India continue to burn millions of tons of coal and the rain forest in Brazil burns...

you are correct, he is wrong. Oceans produce the most amount of CO2 compared to any other natural sources and anthropogenic combined.

Electricity production isn’t too far behind transportation for green house gas emissions. Wonder if it will go up when EVs go more main stream, or will it balance out?

We probably shouldn’t of moved most of the US’s manufacturing over there. Now look at them. Beating us at most everything, even pollution production!

Between shareholders, corporations wanting to increase profits, and consumers demanding cheap goods. Only people to blame is ourselves.

The industrialization of Asia and India has also caused their population to expand immensely.

I agree whole heartedly. We the people, chasing the "American Dream" had our noses to the grindstone and trusted that our elected politicians we be looking out for us.

    That was dumb...

@CaptAmerica, my apologies sir. In the future I shall try to refrain, but it is the truth...

Just because you think a particular thing is true doesn't make it true. There's a famous saying about opinions and assholes.

    So you know why: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/political-threads.37177/

Most of everyone lurking in this thread is just wanting to watch its eventual demise...because we've seen it DOZENS of times in the past.

Ha ha! too fricken late for that! Isn’t it because of politics EVs are being forced upon the people? Isn’t like the free market is deciding. Though could say the same thing about petroleum too. Who knows where the oil and auto industry would be without heavy government subsidies and corporate tax breaks.

The big "P" word is why our industrial base is lacking in these trying times... The gov't should not be involved in subsidies. Money ends up in the wrong hands sometimes...

But what do I know, I'm old... hahaha !

I'm interested. Can you provide a source where someone was forced to buy an EV? I bought a new car a year ago and got a brand new Camry with an ICE. No one even talked to me about EVs.
