Deer hunting BS thread

I was reading about the kool-aid and jello packets.

Last year I started buying Chaffhaye and put it near the feeders. It's been working pretty well as an attractant. The elk I shot last year was eating that when I got him. He still had the Chaffhaye in his mouth when I was skinning him.

 

Upgraded the rear tires on the golf cart. It made it to one of the back stands without a spin. Even made it up a kinda steep ditch I was worried about since it's an 8hp motor. We stopped to look at some tracks here

 

Sign me up! I'll come down and shoot some piggies.

I'll even help you set up a fence around the feeders to keep most of the pigs out.

 

Have you seen the you tube video of hunting pigs with Tannerite. just google it and watch it. I don't really condone this action but it was kinda funny to watch.

Ive found the earth scent dryer sheets work better in my tubs.

 

some acorns are dropping here. there is a white oak dropping in the yard. its loaded. does and skippers under it every evening.

 

Ooh i havent checked that here, i got a couple trees on my property that had acorns last year

 

threw 3 apples out there yesterday. they only ate one but stayed under that tree off and on all afternoon yesterday. there is a youngin just inside the woodline right now actually.

 

Ive missed oportunity to sit in blind, just seems too warm to be deer hunting.

 

I was just in a residential area a couple miles from my house helping my wife clean a house . Massive oaks in the yard dropping acorns . I was picking them up and tossing them to these deer .The big doe walked up within 10’ of me .

 

Yup. our Urban Archery is open. Regular Bow comes in 1st Sat in Oct.I dont bow hunt anymore. buttt,keep the son’s crossbow here incase a good buck comes out. or a doe later on for the freezer.

Gonna try to get out in the morning and lay down a doe. Season opened Saturday - I’ve been sick since Thursday. Second round of Covid. Finally feeling good enough to get off the couch so I’m
Gonna go sit in a tree instead.

 

Im guessing its the usual suspects but you never know. Some leery buck may be hiding in the woods
