:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gal! Got a list, and it'll keep me busy this week! Good enough.

I'm limited by what I can really do in my assault. Did move the motion detecting sprinkler on a hose to that corner. So far, the dog found it! Today is application of scents. I looked at those predator eyes last year, and may well add them this time. All I can really (and legally) do is to make them not want to be here. Unfortunately, birds and squirrel will have to suffer the wait.

    I believe it does.

    Nice 2007 Tacoma.

Made it back home yesterday afternoon and the traffic was not too bad. To get to the ocean one must cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. There are 3 traffic lanes leading up to the bridge and 3 traffic lanes on the bridge. Slow stop and go traffic 6 miles out from the bridge with no traffic lights. Once you got over the bridge it was smooth sailing. Just reinforces my belief that too many people that hate to drive over the bridge still do. If you hate to drive over bridges let someone that doesn't mind do the driving. "End Rant"

Not feeling too well today so I am taking it easy. Lower intestine feels bad. Tomorrow is hearing aid adjustment day. Going to Costco and Bass Pro Shops. Going to try some Cabella's pellets for the grill. 20 pounds for $10 is decent and they are made by the same company that makes Weber and Lumberjack pellets.

How time flies… I was just shy of my 13th birthday one early June morning in 1953. My parents had just replaced their old tv with a new Hoffman 12” console that featured a speaker recessed into the base, with plastic flowers in front. The flowers soon went away, replaced by my feet inside the cabinet whenever I was watching tv. The whole family was up very early that day for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth, in black and white of course. It was a big deal, very exciting to be watching something that important as it was actually happening on the other side of the world. We didn’t mind the black and white at all, and marveled at the detail we could see of the event. So long ago, but I still remember the feel of living that historic moment.

@wanna taco, yup, I remember having the same feeling watching the Opening Ceremonies of the 1964 Winter Olympics from Innsbruck Austria which were broadcast real-time via satellite.

I don’t know how they did it back in 1953, I guess the live feed went under the ocean by cable?
I didn’t get that feel of history in the making again until November of 1963.

Wonderful welcome to the UK for your Grand daughter Dave. It will be quite the experience for Liz to see life across the "pond" . I wish her well in her studies and hope she enjoys the sites in her free time. Thanks for posting.

Sounds like a nice vacation to me. Enjoy and have fun.

    Worked for us in Vietnam.

Today I will find out if the hearing aids are bad or if I need to go to an ear specialist. I hope I need a hearing aid replacement. If I do it is free! Going to Bass Pro shops to purchase Cabella's pellets. I have heard a lot of good things about them and at $10 a bag they are worth a try.

I need to get busy in the garage for a quick clean up. Seems like I never put anything away after a project. I also need to replace a battery in the audio system UPS and then see if I have a large enough load to make a recycle run to the dump with items I can recycle. Should be a busy day.
