I work at a mine, and I've written down some wonderful (awful) quotes from some colleagues. I thought I'd start sharing some of them with my 'miner quote of the day':

"Them roads are slicker than cum on a gold tooth."

Thought this one could especially apply to Tacoma owners. You're welcome.

Trust me I've worked with many of them, had to assist a lot of working photographers back in the day and some of those dudes are grade A predators

Is this the thread where I drop in and ask "Should I sell my decently built second gen and buy a SAS'd first gen?"

I'd like two, but not sure I have the budget nor spousal approval for both.

    Picked up a 10' 1 1/2" square tubing for only $15 bucks.

Cut it down to use them as legs. Plan on making a small stand for my cold cut saw.

Just need to source a not-so-large platform for my saw to sit on.

On another note, got these for free. Figured I could repurpose them.

Maybe as a fire extinguisher mount?

    Yeti cup holder?

    Fleshlight gyrating apparatus?

    They're Dobinsons reservoir mounts.

Yeah...I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts at work and the sheer number of serial killers over the years that have masqueraded as photographers to lure victims is pretty unsettling lol.

These days with social media its easier to out the creeps though and get word out.

Yep. Not just photographers either. That whole Larry Nasser thing was completely f'd up. Team doctor for a gymnastics team.

Better keep an eye on the welders.

I literally just listened to a podcast where a girl was saying she was mid photoshoot and turned around to the cameraman dong out and he asked her if he could play some Yahtzee while the shoot went on

Its sad because there's so little oversight in the industry really....even with modeling agencies they really don't know any of the photographers they're sending models to work with unless its someone well-established with a good reputation. But just like with models, LA and other metro areas are chock full of photographers too and you can't vet everyone.

but like I mentioned above, at least with social media now its easier to out the ones that earn it and put them on blast.
