Ah good point. I was only comparing the bottom mounting point. That’s what came with my “dirt king spec” coil overs.

So measure that spring length as it sits in that picture and report back.

I haven’t tried driving it. With all other setups I’ve had I could do everything with the jack on the control arm. But as it sits right now it’s fully extended and won’t compress at all.

When it’s on the tires it’s a different story. You have to roll back to get it level. It just seems so far off I don’t want to go through the trouble installing the other side just to have to pull it apart again.

Looks same as mine. Yeah you probably have 2” of preload on the 600’s with no threads showing

Put the 700’s back on and drive it with the valving changes made. I’m betting it will ride way better than before

that cap is def the problem, I have DK spec foxes and they def dont have that cap. Did you add that on? Mine looked like this out of the box. Yours has been threaded down. Remover that cap and reduce preload.

Yea one thing at a time, this lesson is an important one with this stuff. Especially as trucks are starting to get more advanced like these yota's. Little changes can make a huge difference

Yeah it’s got to be somewhere between 1.5-2.0. I’m at work but I’ll measure as soon as I’m home.

I’m going to pop back on the 700’s for now. No one has any other options in stock.

Nope. That’s how I got them. I didn’t buy from Dirt King though. I got them through DSM as DK spec.

not sure then but of your lift height is too high i would reduce spring rate since you cant get any lower. Mine added about 1/2 from 600 to 650.

Might be different for 2wd and 4wd as well to clear the axle.
Mine are the same as yours and from around the same timeframe.

Kinda the best current ish pic I have. And as you can see even with the 700’s I’ve still added a bit of preload to them. And the truck sits with the uniball perfectly level like this

The DK spec for King shocks use the over threaded cap while the Fox do not. Comparing two difference companies products.

Nice. Other than you I’ve seen nothing but how bad 700# is too much. So I convinced myself the same thing. But they clearly work since you are using them okay. With mine I had a little less preload. Here’s a pic of mine. This is with the wrong springs though and nothing fully bolted up.

Side note. Looks like you are running the same hoops I am. Do you just use the bypass as the bump stop or do you have one it’s just hidden? I was running an air bump but I pulled it because it was so close to the arm it would be in contact half the time. Debating on putting it back and running it at a lower psi though.

I’m running superbumps in the stock location on mine. Had to notch the bump mount a little and move the bypass mount but it’s working great.

I don’t like the thought of not running a bump stop although I know people do it when they add a bypass. Not sure what size bump you’re running but I’d probably shorten it to 1” stroke so it’s not engaging all the time and then run it at a lower psi if it’s still too harsh.
