320k and head gasket appears to be leaking

I really hope I got it. I am done for today. Tomorrow I was thinking drive an hour to work and back then do one more double flush without thermostat. Driving around in between flushes. It seems like the pocket was at the block. Thanks for the help. Truck has an appointment at shop Tuesday, but hopefully I do not need them.

I have this one. Had an older one, same brand and model. In 2011 my work truck was stolen along with about $30k worth of tools. The old one worked much better than the new one does.

 

When you say flush, you’re dumping and refilling the coolant? Not necessary since you didn’t have tons of rust come out.

 

Unhooking hoses then hitting it hard with a garden hose.

 

Looks like I am back in business. No fluid loss at all today, no bubbling. I went and ordered an aftermarket radiator, and it should be in on Thursday. My new truck will not be in for a few months. Hopefully I can stop putting money into this one it until then.

 

Very good to hear. What year and engine? Sorry if I missed it. Great when a situation turns out to be a lot less of an expense than expected.
