Got some LB rock sliders but need to paint them before installing. What kind of paint would be best for sliders?

If you know your gonna beat them up I’d say just a rattle can job. Mine are done with satin black rattle can. After every couple outings easy to touch up.

Yeah I was going to rattle can them for sure. I wasn’t sure if there was a better kind of paint to use or just any black rattle can.

@Cappy @OffroadJet not sure if anyone answered this but having the TRD and watching videos about the diff drop…. you might be able to use the TRD skid by replacing the bolts and spacers to different longer ones.

There is minimal to no clearance above the the TRD skid to accommodate the lowered diff. Back of the TRD bolts flush against the frame cross member under the trans bell.

Middle and front bolts of the TRD skid use bolt spacers (metal tube) between the skid and frame. The longer the bolts and spacers the more susceptible it would be to damage if you’re actually using the skid off-road. Also adding spacers means the rear of the skid could potentially become a big dirt scoop hindering ability to back up when off-road

If you know how to change engine oil you can do this too. Recently did mine cost about $80 US in fluid and a couple hours working from my garage floor.

Choose good quality 75w-90. This is okay to use in all three places (assuming your manual recommends same weight as US)
The fill holes are horizontal so you need a simple fluid pump (similar to a handsoap dispenser) or I found refilling one the “flex packs” Valvoline is sold in here works well too.

check out the maintenance page here for a full write up and videos
