Kind of makes me wonder if they should change the font for dumbgeon threads to comic sans.

 

Coincidentally today was the last day I had HBO. Too bad, looks like episode 3 is going to be a good one.

Won't spoil tonight.

I will say it was enough to plan on buying another month at the finale and binging it in one go. It was not enough to buy a subscription for September. (Though I did briefly debate after seeing next week's teaser.)




I'm still optimistic to see where it goes.

 

Can I ask why you want to ditch HBO? Ive always felt HBO had the best library of any streaming service aside from maybe Hulu (mostly because of the FX network)....hbo has so much content from being around for so long. Though I guess they are merging with Discovery soon so we'll see what happens there

 

Either I'm just bored with TV (likely) or HBO hasn't put out much lately. I paid my month for August, and within the first week I got caught up on the Gemstones plus a couple of movies that looked interesting. And then... nothing.

I thought about catching up with Westworld, but back when I was actively watching it (season 3) it started to feel like a chore.


So I'm shutting it down and picking up Hulu for a month. I'll burn through what other services have to offer, then come back to HBO to catch up on some decent dragon fights (I hope).

 

Enjoyed the episode last night for sure!

I've not read the books but have a guess as to what's gonna happen next. (lots happening but the primary plot from E2 is what I'm talking about) keeping it to myself, of course.

I agree...HBO is the best with new shows...in my opinion.

 

Season 3 of Westworld is awful. Season 4 much redeems it and was a worthy final season if it ends up not being renewed after the discovery merger

Just finished it. S4 E4 was pretty good but then I think it started to go down hill again....still needs one AND final season. We'll get it like 4 years from now tho

 

Whenever I don't have anything to watch I just rewatch The Wire or Sopranos on HBO lol. I'll always keep that subscription for those two.


Heard that the next episode of HotD is going to fast forward a few years from last Sunday, seems there will be some good action in it too.

I guess every episode is supposed to take a time leap thus the Kings baby already being 2 as of last week. I read they are already recasting the 2 female leads for a time jump.

 

Yup. Gotta help it progress forward as it will most likely focus around the older iterations of the characters not them as children.

 

Yeah most of the action in the Dance of Dragons happens when they're older, but a lot of things build up to that point

 

I think the brothel scene opened up everyone's eyes...
