Redline feeling at 3500rpm

    Did you ever find out the issues?
    I had a similar issue where I could not get over 5100rpms.
    I replaced crankshaft sensor, battery, plugs, spark plug wires, gap plugs,

    then replaced the camshaft sensor from dealership and rpm’s I couldn’t get over 3500rpms.
    Then replaced all ground wires with two gauge cables and wire brushed the ECU ground wires and
    Dielectric grease on those ground wires. (This set of ground wires are attached to the supercharger or engine if not supercharged and are brown in color two sets,)
    Still nothing,
    Put the old camshaft sensor back in and now she’s running perfectly.
    So my problem was
    1) bad ground wires, also check the ECU ground bracket if you have a supercharger for ground contact if it’s painted and wire brush that spot.)
    2) the new OEM camshaft sensor was defective

    Hey yes I ended up figuring it out. My crank position sensor was a little crooked in the housing it sets in. once I figured that out after numerous people looked at it and couldn't fix and no code showed I unplugged my upstream O2 and it ran like a champ until last week when I blew the engine up lol sent it a little too hard!! got one being rebuilt now to drop back in. Thanks for the update and you guys help. always nice to be able to bounce stuff off you guys on here.

    You can run the hell out of these engines but if your AFR is lean with the supercharger you will blow it up.
    I’m guessing you ran it lean

    Man I'll be honest I don't know what my AFR was. I did have its tongue ran out. I had bought one of those gauges that shows AFR and Boost but I sent it back because I didn't know how to install or use it. i need to find someone in my area that can do it.

    You can run these 3.4 motors up to 6000rpms, but if your AFR are lean you can blow it up at 5000rpms, get a AFR gauge installed by a speed shop then

    It isn't a lack of a gauge that caused the engine to blow up, it is a lack of fuel and timing advance. Getting a gauge installed won't fix that.

    I have larger fuel pump installed and 7th injector to be installed just hadn't put it on yet. I will install 7th on and then have the AFR gauge put on. Hopefully will help make this one last longer than 360,000 miles.

    Hey guys got my new engine installed and runs good I was using the heater the other evening and I didn't notice so when I turned on the AC I saw the truck was getting warm. At idle it doesn't get warm only when driving. I felt the lower hose coming out of the radiator it was cool so I thought well its the thermostat. Changed it out with same issues. with the heater on it keeps temp gauge down. with AC on it will get warm. could it be the water pump? it was new. I thought the coolant wouldn't circulate through the heater core without the water pump working. Nothing seems to be easy to seamless.

    I just ended up cutting middle of thermostat out and it kept it cool. Coolant was swirling not real sure what has caused it.

    I ran into a similar problem with two new aftermarket stats,
    A new OEM stat jigger at 6 and alls good for the 3rd try
