Yes, aftermarket, I’ve been driving with BSM for 5 yrs and I think it is worth it. I didn’t tell them I wanted it until after showing me prices of the allocations he had available. They didn’t add it to the price to what that was already given, I believe the dealership has treated me honestly and fairly.

Same bro. Army is the way. When I got my Tacoma I wanted AG, but it was a month out. Cement was a close second and it was slated to arrive in 2 days. So cement was the winner.

I’m just bummed that I’ve lost out 3 times on AG. I thought forsure this time it would have worked out

Many thanks again. So I see my vehicle with vin that was given to me. It shows the specs I ordered. I suppose it’s not built yet. So I keep checking I suppose until the temp vin is inoperable.

What are the two numbers in front of the last letter in your VIN?

    Most likely 33, 34 or 36

So, I was googling/researching my VIN for the Sport I purchased last week that was allocated to my dealership in Wilmington NC and I saw it pop here where you claimed to have purchased the same vehicle as myself my guy lol. My dealership expects it within 30 days, $1000 put down by myself last week…

I’m bowing out of this thread. I wish you all the best of luck. Yesterday I picked up my 7/11 build Limited in Wind Chill Pearl. Definitely worth the wait.

Thank you all for helping me pass the time while I waited…and waited…and waited.

Seems it’s going to take for ever, by rail, to finally get to Central Virginia and my Stealership

The Lunar Rock Sport? Very interesting, luckily I’m calling Hendrick today to release it as I found similar spec Sport in MGM and have secured that instead. Else we would be in quite a pickle!

yeah I’m about to contact my dealership since I was assured this was a vehicle allocated specifically to the dealership where I bought it in North Carolina. Not cool if Toyota sold it twice lol.

It is your trucks build week. I was week 33 and got built last week. I imagine your truck will probably be built this week.

Ordered my predetermined "allocated" sr5 in jan and picked it up the last week of march. My 01 died so I decided to make the investment. But I'd die for a manual v6 lol

Interesting. I'm not sure why my dealer hasn't shared this with me although they currently strike me as honest. Thank you @ThRILl_GmYr for the education.

That's excellent advice. See what surrounding dealers have on allocation, and put a deposit down on one of those. The whole "configure" process is just not where they are at this time, and it may be a VERY long time before they are able to build to request. Best if you put your money down on something Toyota is definitely going to build in a reasonable time.

The Sales guys don’t really know these kinds of intricacies and they certainly don’t know the logistics end of it.

My sales guy the the other week sent me a screen grab of their tracking system to show my truck made it to the port and said he still didn’t have the permanent VIN. The permanent VIN was there clear as day in the screen grab he shared.
