Wow! Some pretty significant rainfall this weekend, all over the southern part of the state.

I remember when my friends and I got nailed with very serious storms camping years ago, and the Mondeaux flowage came up about a foot and a half in a few hours. That was the trip when my buddies boat got swamped, and everybody thought I got struck by lightning.

So... I bought a battery. Unfortunately, not the battery I ordered. I ordered an Odyssey Extreme. They billed me for an Odyssey Extreme. I got an Odyssey Performance... Huh. Not what I ordered. Certainly not the same price. I agreed to keep this one (as they cannot send them back at NAPA for some reason.) They made it right; like really right on the price, and I am fine with this one-tired of jumping the truck every time I take it, so win win.

Dang that stinks but glad they made it right. Specs on those two series/models isn't too far off, basically 7Ah and a couple cold crank amps. Performance series far, far exceeds anything stock anyways. Glad you don't have to jump it all the time now!

How long are you going between trips with the truck that your battery drains out? Or do you have parasitic loss because of accessories and whatnot?

Original factory battery. Eight years old. I have been checking it periodically with an Ohm meter, and it has never been strong... I do have a parasite in the system but lately the battery has just given up. Happens. Most draw is very low-sleeping camera etc. Also don't drive it much; once a week or so.

It's long for any battery, but hot climates wear batteries out twice as fast as cold climates.

Unfortunately I don't think they have an adapter available for the 2nd and 3rd gen MT's anyways. If you don't need the 4.70 ratio look at Northwest Fab Works Eco Crawler. I put mine in for under $2600 total and that includes drive shaft length modifications. So worth it for the MT's.
