You are correct, The Yamaha 80 and 200 are the most common. I would love to find a 350 but they were only made for 2 years and bring a premium. My neighbor growing up had one and I always wanted it lol.

So I’m thinking about re-gearing and throwing a front locker in the truck. I know the factory rear axles are not fantastic, and I’ve already run through one ring on the factory rear end. Looking at 4.88’s. I’m supercharged on 35’s with approx 600-1000lbs in the bed at any given time.

Am I throwing $700 down the drain gearing to 4.88’s? I’ve learned these trucks aren’t made of glass BUT re-gearing would make an already weak axle, weaker.

Dana 60 would be the go to (and I will eventually) but $5500 vs $700 is a stretch right now…

Everyone has their opinion but, for me well worth the money. Will be one of the top mods I make on any truck I mod going forward. I don’t wheel crazy cause I’m 2wd. :pout: I was eyeing some parts for conversation this morning. Pic cause it’s taco Tuesday. @pdaddy

They all are at a premium.....it's insane. Those things should be $500 at most......not 5K.

Front locker for the win lol. You saw mine. Its a hell of alot better in dry conditions lol. But yea if your going through the trouble of regear front locker def makes sense. Look at nitro gear thick gears. I think what your referring to is the diff with the factory locker. Ive got the non locking diff that actually came with a stronger rear end. Could look to change axles with someone. shit i actually know a kid who just changed out his factory non locker one for a factory locker you could probably get for cheap. IDK if at that point you would want to change out to a stonger one still would be like 5k+ vs like 2k lol

Front locker is for sure, no question there haha.

Regearing rear just seems like a ticking time bomb. Then again I feel the same way with the factory rear end…

    Seeeent it

Yeah I was also told to look into the 8.75 locked rear ended from a 3g; def seems like it would be a bit more stout than our 8”

the Dana would be nice though; it would reduce the need to run spacers to clear my shocks in the rear plus just being a beefcake

Yeah I saw it and almost commented but it falls right in the window of our next launch attempt so not sure I’d be able to make it

if I make it it’ll likely be in the Prius. Love that spot, it’s beautiful

It is i love that spot. Last time i went there Anna and i hiked to the abandend tower at the top of the mountain. Its about 1;45 min hike there and about 45 min back. Its mostly up hill there and downhill back but its worth the hike.

Me either. Me and Cindy are leaving Thursday night after Riley’s choir sings National Anthem at High School game. Think we are going to spent Thursday night on Lake Allatonna. It’s only about 2 hours away and gets us on other side of ATL.
