Yeah that reminds me to put in a meat order this week.

So anyway I've got the site right beside the group site if anyone wants a propane stove to heat stuff up on.

Someone bring a knife and cutting board, someone else took my cheap-o kitchenaid knife home last year and I don't travel with my good knives.

I may just take you up on that. I'm traveling light in terms of camping gear - no stove or fuel tanks. But I'll have my cooler with cheese and snacks. So I may bum some grill space off someone.

I haven’t been to Trailhead but I’m in 140. I’ll have my camper, gas stove, flat top and camp cooker. I don’t think it’s too far away if anyone needs to use anything.
If AllTacosFloat is doing the sausage/meatball, I’ll do brownies/cookies and whatnot

Maybe that's where the mystery knife came from. I'll have it in my kitchen box if it's your knife.

Probably, I left it at the table when I wandered back to my camper. Had an emergency overnight and had to beat feet before I could grab it.

If you don't have a honing steel then definitely recommend one.

If you never use one, nor sharpen your blades, a mediocre knife can be a nice knife. I (in my use) see a point of diminishing returns around 50$ for any kitchen knife. Above that and the added cost doesn't do enough to justify it. Below that, they might not hold their edge as long/not full tang, etc.

I don't use a steel hone very often, but I've got a couple nice diamond hones that work really well on cheap to mediocre knives. Really nice knives need special treatment, and definitely don't get chucked in a pelican case full of camp kitchen.
