It’s been rough with no leads or answers. Especially when they were actively using my cc I forgot about the next day. Which gives me slim hopes they’re still around and maybe left the truck somewhere..that’s the best case scenario.

thanks man! All the eyes I can get the better

Tag me on ig and I’ll share it. Try sending it to @trophyburro too. Several vehicles have been found because of the community that’s on that page.

Ah! I thought meant an actual “Deadman” switch. Like if an operator is removed from the seat for what ever reason it shuts down the operation like on cranes or forklifts! A master switch for the start circuit is pretty clever.. I like that you bypassed the security features as well!

Hopefully your buddy gets his truck soon.

My roommate got his M2 Comp stolen about 2 weeks ago while parked at a friends house over the weekend. We all thought for sure that the thing would be over the border within hours and stripped for parts, but they found it a week later just parked downtown. As if someone just stole it for a few joyrides. No damage, nothing missing. Hopefully that's gonna be the case with this situation.

This is really great to know. I can only hope I’m so lucky. I’ve been exploring all my options and potentially getting a new rig after insurance. Fingers crossed

If you are able to talk to an investigating officer, ask them if the vehicle plate has had any hits, since stolen, in their license plate reader/recognition system (LPR). All local PD’s and SDSO use it, as well as state and feds. If the officer is cooperative, maybe he/she can share date and location of the last hit. That will at least show the vehicle is in the area.

Thank baby Jesus the temp dropped, I was literally fucking dying...the last few days before it finally cooled off I started feeling nauseous all day from the heat and sweating so bad I could barely see so my eyelids must have sweat glands but Ill have to look in to that..
I had to work a little in the morning and then come back out after the heat dropped and work until 1am then up at 7 again, I always have a lot of work to do which is an awesome problem if you call it that..
Pretty sure the last week the worst in recent memory for me as far as heat and humidity are concerned, as most of you know Im not a very big guy but I probably lost 10 pounds so that means Im now almost lighter than air, I just put rocks in my pockets to keep me planted..:p haha.

Good to get some rain though, we definitely needed some! Was getting dry as toast out there..
Hope you guys have an awesome weekend!!! :bananadance:

Gotta work on your own body first, stay hydrated/down some liquid IV style drinks, take a day off in between, whatever you need. Im sure any customer will understand getting pushed a couple days in order to keeping you from having a heat stroke lol.

Yeah I did have to move a few around due to the rain so I guess that was an inadvertent break from that but I cannot stop working no matter how what, its quite ridiculous actually. And I have been drinking so much water but when it is this humid I sweat so bad when doing hard labor like said above it gets hard to see from all the sweat going into my darn eyeballs which is pretty annoying but it is what it is..

Funny story about my overkill work ethic...I had my 50th Birthday a few weeks ago and I got notified by my wife during the festivities that I'm not supposed to sneak away and work while everyone was in the pool, lol. Im a fucking hoot on vacation! Haha, well actually the first few days of a vacation are good then I start looking for things to fix, I have never met a person like myself ever in my life because they shouldn't exist, its pretty odd IMO. I guess that's my OCD is having to always be doing something, so Im the exact opposite of lazy but to a fault.

If I am not doing something productive I start to get stressed. I was working on the tractor last night till about 11pm getting my culvert squared up since the ground was wet so it will be ready for me to dig the footing an get the first row installed over the next week or so, then I worked on my truck slowly getting more of the turbo fuel system taken care of for the boosted Tacorvette, lol. I am adding double Walbro 450pumps, some larger feed and return lines using rigid tube that's E85 safe and also TIG welding a custom piece to hold 2 fuel pumps to the stock fuel pump cradle. Should be enough to support over 1000hp on E85 so room to grow if I upgrade the engine down the road to a forged setup.

Now I have to go cut up a bunch of branches that fell in the wind from yesterday and clean up all the mess from the storm so I can work on concrete instead of dirt, rocks and leaves, we got a lot of water last night and it made a bit of a mess, but luckily its not too bad.
Aaanyway, I hope you are having a good weekend my friend and soon Ill have the truck running so that should be a blast, hoping for around 700 at the wheels on E85.

I took my rotors to Meineke, at N. Escondido Blvd, and the tech declined to resurface my rotors claiming their lathe would destroy my rotors. I didn't argue with him. I then went to Oreilly’s in Esco on Rock Springs and Mission, a real old looking dude said it would not be a problem. I installed them today and they did a good job. They brake smooth.

Top is resurfaced EBC rotor; bottom is outgoing resurfaced OEM rotor with about 117K miles, 73K original miles and 44.5K on resurfaced miles. They could have gone another 20K with the slight vibrations they exhibit but I needed new pads and decided to resurface the EBC rotors, which had 72K before the resurfacing.

Wisdom is an important attribute they say... Perfect, it can be done but most people that run those machines are scared to try it. Good stuff.

Disclaimer: Or even a dude that looks a lot younger than his actual age like myself, ha! And another very important footnote, look for the guy that's old and has been doing that job since he was knee high to a grasshopper!

Ok I have been threatening to post up some pics of the Tacorvette. I have been working till 1m almost every evening for what seems like months now and its slow going since I am having to somewhat engineer all the upgrades I am adding on the fly so that really slows things down to an extremely snail-like pace, but that is how it goes when you are building a totally custom Turbo V8 LS swap into a 1st gen.

For instance the darn fuel pump upgrade took way too long but that is just how it goes, trying swap out the previous 255LPH Walbro pump to a Dual Walbro 450LPH pump setup that is E85 friendly (the materials used must be compatible with e85 and alcohol wreaks Havoc if the wrong material is used) so I had to change out my entire fuel system from pump to Injector and all the O-rings in-between needed to be changed to Viton as well so they don't expand and degrade.. as well as the injectors, etc,

I also removed all the fuel hard lines and put in new larger -8AN Fragola PTFE hose for the fuel pump to a -8/ single to dual -6 splitter to the rails and then from the fuel pressure regulator and then -8 back to the tank.

Today I am working on my 4" downpipe and also my wastegate outlet that will merge into the downpipe, and boy it's a tight fit trying to put all these things so close together in such a small engine bay. But its slowly taking shape!!

Yeah I know, words mean nothing without pics, especially for those of us that are illiterate and depend on pictures for out daily dopamine hits!

Ill take a bunch today so I can post them up tonight if I take a break around dinner time.

Dang I could of posted a pic faster than I can type all that. JK
Turbo in a first gen isn't easy with a v8.
Didn't feel like dumping your wastegate to the ground? I don't like wastegate sounds so I'd plumb into my downpipe too.
You talking big power with this build. If you have AWD it be the Hooni-tacorvette.
Assuming it is looking a bit like a single turbo version of this?

I'm looking for someone to do some light fabrication on my offroad trailer. Need a mount for my spare tire and need to install my fridge slide. I'm up for paying or I've got a few items for sale if anyone was interested in trading. -Brett
