22 miles on the clock. I wiped up my drool off the floor. Being used, no price posted. Sales was not open yet so I didn't ask a price. Fast forward to this morning, I look online at their website and got a nasty case of sticker shock. Attached pic of their price.

Wow, that is expensive. Wow. I wonder if that used price, is higher or lower than the New price?

Having flipped a c8 for an easy $10k, I can't really blame whoever bought it and the dealer for trying to make a few dollars. I would say that price is right in line with what it should be. The truck is a $69k truck. The original owner after taxes and tags would have been into the truck for about $77K. The original owner probably pocketed $5k selling it to the dealer for $82k. The dealer with their 'generous' discount is sacrificing it for $88k which means you can probably own it for $85k meaning the dealer probably makes $3k. I know it sounds absurd asking $20k more than sticker, but after everyone gets their cut, the profits are not as great as you think, but it does give the dealer a cool vehicle for their showroom.

Pro, top of the line, full size truck, I think that's a limited color ("limited" until next year when you can get it on base models).

On the Goog, the full cab like this starts at 38. The Ford "Limited" which is their tippy top other than the raptor, starts around 77K. :notsure:

Full size trucks are just going for that nowadays. I wouldn't be surprised if a "Tundra TRD Pro" (If it existed back then? I don't follow the tundra line) pre-pandemic was close to 70k.

I didn't see one, but my local dealer threw a TON of walmart/vatozone add ons to their tacomas. I walked on the lot and not a single one didn't have a stupid bed rack lightbar thing, "upgraded" wheels, tires, decals, etc. It was bananaland. All of that junk and a 10k markup for it all. Pure shenanigans.

Just looked it up. It's on their brochure, the Pro grille now comes with both raptor lights and light bar as standard.

Imagine how many Tundy owners will be clamoring for that grille?

I almost traded my taco on one. Right up until a friend had one and I did more homework.

For that price I would expect to get a rear step for climbing into the back…..or how about tow hooks?
His was problematic. Dealership had the dash apart multiple times. So many in fact they were unable to get some of the trim reset properly and never was able to fix the original issue. He traded it back at a loss.
Dealership themselves said “stay away from these first gens, they’re spending more time in the shop than on the road”.
    Crazy!

That truck never left the dealership except for a test drive. They are working the system. People are stupid enough to play.
