Nah, that would be a nice option to have though if it were cheap enough. Maybe offer it as a kind of rental deal, pick it up from a Service Center and use it on a long trip and then bring it back. The Max Pack is just the 180kwh integrated pack and supposed to offer 400+ miles of range.

Another thing I noticed is that the mirrors are terrible. Way too small with really bad blind spots.

    The salesperson.

Not surprised they're embracing the most cringe inducing corporate speak.

I bet they're proud disruptors of all the verticals and love to fractionally integrate too. Just prepping slide decks to maximize impact.

They don't have the Tesla-style blind spot cameras?

edit: Not that that's an excuse for having shitty mirrors and blind spots, of course.

Rivian was very successful at nailing the ugliest design they could possibly develop for their truck. I can think of Edsel, Trabant, Yugo, Aztec, and a few other ugly cars to match. Too bad. I’m sure it is a pretty good EV, notwithstanding its ugliness.

You do realize that they are selling at a very large premium over MSRP?

It’s not often that “the salesperson” sells you something that you’ve already preordered.

I did a quick and dirty photoshop and turned the lights horizontal.

It's amazing what just 90 degrees can do. That looks so much better.

They work on a car lot and sell cars, they're a salesperson.

Or do they offer guided ayahuasca and meditation retreats too?

Very narrow definitions of “guide”. Maybe look into the ayahuasca to open your mind.

It’s very strange. No more salesperson or sales associate. It’s now a guide. WTF! I think they are being different just to be different, like those damn headlights.

I’m not offended. I just think it’s weird and lame. They are trying way to hard to be different.

I think the difference is in the approach to the process. A salesman is there to sell you on the vehicle and try to nickel and dime you out the door. The Rivian guides more or less just help you through the process if you need assistance. The entire process from order, to configuration, to delivery at your doorstep can be done with almost no interaction with a salesman/guide.

Does the Mach E have a drain in the frunk? On the Rivian it’s mostly hard plastic and has a drain plug you can pull to make washing out the evidence easier.

But in Ca, they tell you to not charge it. You can't measure maintenance costs. They're all new. So far, EV batteries are an achilles' heel. I'll let someone else finance their R&D.
