There should be another 20K discount for the billion recalls it's already had and turbo failures.

I sure hope Toyota does a much better job on the next gen Tacoma than this new Tundra.

Maybe, but that should be easy enough to tell if it's been registered. Even a carfax sheet will show who/when it was reg'd to. So not sure what the benefit to listing it used, if it's not, would be.

That being said, the more expensive vehicles (that I would consider driving daily) get, the happier I am keeping my '08. With interest rates going further north alongside costs, people are gonna be priced out of any new vehicle soon.

So it's like organized crime; everyone gets a cut. @Extra Hard Taco's post is appropriate:

Yep, and typically these are installed at a nearby 4WP or indie shop where the labor rate is cheaper than dealer techs. Same with add-on anti-theft systems, typically done at a nearby stereo shop.

It could have. For my C8 I had it shipped to keep the miles down and the dealership that bought it sent a two truck to pick it up. The dealership I bought mine from didn't want to buy it back. They said that they would be in a world of trouble with GM. However, I had no problem getting interest from pretty much any other dealer. I sold it to the highest bidder. I actually tried to sell it on auto trader, but I only got responses from Nigerian scammers and dealers. I'm no fan of the nonsense, but you either play the game or get left behind.

    **** Edit ****
Carfax shows the story - CARFAX Vehicle History Report for this 2022 TOYOTA TUNDRA CREWMAX LIMITED/CR: 5TFJC5DB8NX006325

Someone bought it in Arkansas and sent it to Auction. My assumptions on cost should be pretty accurate with the limited dealer profit. Probably even less with auction fees being added in.

    Same here.

Apparently a way for dealers to skirt the allocation system, so they can get more inventory, is to buy a bunch of vehicles as “rentals” them turn them around and make them certified used.

Guessing give it a year and the nonsense will subside.

New Tundra is nice, styling is growing on me, love the interior…but for $100K, that thing needs to be a diesel 1 ton with a camper on the back…

I am just sitting here trying to figure out what kind of truck was at your wedding 50 years ago!

LOL, back in the day (80's) my dad had a 1978 puke green Toyota pickup. We hated it but I would kill to have it now.

Nope. More than I will ever spend on a vehicle less than 25 feet long. Just no.

They were gonna supply a ballcap and white oakley’s as well, but oakley’s entire production run is spoken for by Ford F-150 production.
