Oh there will be some mods all right
Why are mud flaps the bottled water of Tacoma aftermarket accessories? Like seriously the price of Rokblokz is ridiculous for what you are getting.

So get a set of used Rekgen's instead

But also, once you get 33s mudflaps don't really fit anymore

I was thinking about the tufskinz with cement logo. No 33s for me, 265/75/16 is where it's at.

Is that a 3rd Gen thing? Mine fit fine, but of course, 2nd Gen... I might have to do some trimming on the 35's, but still hoping for factory mud flaps.

You won't be fitting them up front, unless you've got the best lowers ever made that actually push your axle forward lol

I'm between this https://btffabrication.com/collections/toyota-1/products/15-21-tacoma-high-caster-lca with marlin crawler lca gussets

    or

    JD Fabrication lower pivot https://jdfabrication.com/collections/gen-3-tacoma-16-6-lug/products/tacoma-05-18-lower-arm-pivots

Both move the front tire forward

My lca pivots aren't bent so don't know if I want to cut them off for the JD Fab mount.

So... please explain why they are better. I love spending stupid amounts of money, but gotta know why. "garbage" is a blanket term and I personally haven't been upset with the OEM flaps. Do tell.

better coverage and they are flexible. ive had mine folded completely and they are still fine. the oem ones will crack and break off

I've got the XL on my truck so they stick out a little bit and they catch so much stuff from kicking up off the road

I have Rokblokz, also. I demonstrated their durability in June, when I tore my rear driver's side mudflap clean off in the rock garden. The bolts pulled through the bumper cover, and the bumper clip broke off, but the mudflap itself is fine. :D

That said, I guess it's up to you if it's worth the cost for some fancy hunks of plastic.

I'll add that my fronts cleared fine with 285/70/17's, but didn't clear the 295's. Of course, different vehicle, alignment, etc.

That yours? Like the topper! 35's and you wouldn't be abusing your mud flap...

You were definitely lucky that there wasn't more damage from that one...

It sounded so much worse than it was! I was freaked out for a minute, until someone told me.

That seems doable... Assuming it is heavy? How much does something like that go for?

mine is about 400 lbs. not super heavy but heavy enough thats its kind of a pain to take on and off without a lift of some kind or a forklift

they started at $8900 when I bought mine.. now they start at... $13,900 :bananadead:

as configured.. its a little over $18k new today.
